Larissa's P.O.V.

A week past by in a blur. I kept my promise with Chris about being friends and nothing more but I gotta admit, it was harder than it sounds. Sometimes, we would just look at each other and there will be some kind of chemistry between us. Nowadays, we have been sitting together while the girls would chat among themselves but we did seem a little like a couple.

The way we talked to each other or how sometimes we laugh so hard that we fall off the bench and also a little bit of flirting in between. Oh, we definitely looked suspiscious but I didn't care. 'Cause I was finally moving on and having the time of my life. Jeremy and Mia had taken a liking towards each other but occasionally, they had huge arguments. Then, Karen would look after them and snicker. "What a shame! Love/hate relationship doesn't cut out for them."

Back to the present day! Today was a Saturday. It has been exactly a week since I've been here. I walked downstairs with a sleepy look and in my pyjamas. Actually, one wouldn't call it pj's 'cause it barely covered most of my skin. My arms were bare and my legs were bare too. If Gabriel saw me, I was in deep trouble. I went into the kitchen and opened the refrigerator door. The cold air hit my bare arms and I sighed in content. It felt so good! Resisting the urge to suddenly lay my head in the fridge like a weirdo, I grabbed the bottle of orange juice and downed it in a matter of seconds.

"What are you wearing?"

I looked up and saw Gabriel. He looked suspisciously handsome on this fine morning. He had a rolled up t-shirt and a pair of dark jeans that hugged his legs perfectly. He looked like a knight from medieval times. Except he wasn't holding a sword or shield. Damn! He ruined it. . .

"Morning to you too, brother."

He glared at me and I simply rolled my eyes. As if I was going to make myself intimidated by this pretty boy. "Move out of the way, boy or you aren't going to get the chance to celebrate Father's Day." He folded his arms over his chest and tapped his feet on the tiled floors. The sound of the foot tapping on the floor annoyed the hell out of me. "Okay! Look. Stop that infuriating sound, please." He raised his eyebrows and a small smile crept to the corners of his mouth. "How about you answer my question and I'll stop annoying you?"

I batted my eyelashes at him and gave him a completely innocent look. "I don't know what you're talking about, my dear, sweet brother." He groaned and grabbed me. He swung me over his shoulder and my vision turned upside down. "You idiot! Put me down this instance! I'll make sure you never get children, you bastard." I kept on hitting his back and he just kept smirking. The nerve on that ass!

"Fine, fine! It was really hot last night so I put on something that didn't cover much. Jeez! It's no big deal, Gab!"

He laid me on my own two feet and I took a seat on the counter. "You are so cute when you are protective!" I reached out and pinched his cheeks. He scowled at me even more. "Please, now you look like those black dogs that growl and bark at everybody it sees." The smug look on his face vanished from his face and he sighed. "Sorry," he muttered under his breath. I giggled and he looked up at me, smirking. "Did you just giggle?" I frowned this time.

"No! It was a - snort?"

He snorted as if to show me what a snort looked like. "That's a snort and yours is a giggle. There's a huge difference between those two." I rolled my eyes once again and replied back sarcastically. "Yeah, I went to school and still am. I know all about the family of expressions, mister." He looked at me as if I had gone bonkers. Maybe I have.

Bonkers. Hahaha. It sounds so nice. Bon-kers!!!!

I laughed out loud and clutched my stomach. Gabriel looked at me with what looked like fright in his eyes. "Look, sis. Are you okay 'cause you are seriously giving me the skeevies."
