"So, Ellie, did you just hear?" one of the girls sat down at our table and I jumped slightly startled. She wore cute red framed glasses, and a pink dress.

Ellie raised her brow. "What Cheryl?"

"Evan just broke up with Sally...or Sally broke up with him...or something like that...can you please put a good word in for me?"

"I don't think you want him to notice you," Ellie answered. She looked at me then back at her. "Trust me."

"Come on, he's the high school Rockstar and Heart throb, I want a chance...." Cheryl pleaded.

"Speaking of the devil," Ellie spoke. I looked up to see Evan and his group of friends walk in. He was smiling, and I grimaced. He did not look in the least distraught having just gone through a breakup.

"OOOh," Cheryl squealed.

"If you know what is best for you, scram before he comes here," Ellie spoke.

Cheryl glared at her. "I'm taking my chance." She jumped up and I cringed. I have seen him in action, and although I was never on the receiving end yet...

"Hey Evan!" Cheryl squealed. Ellie and I looked at each other and grimaced.

Evan turned to look at her. "Hey..."

"I wanted to ask...would you mind going out for coffee sometime?"

"Thanks, but I'm having a severe headache then..." Evan spoke.

"Why?" Cheryl frowned.

"Because if I keep staring at you long enough, I can't make out whether you're a girl or a cherry that exploded in a mass nuclear microwave because Frankenstein was bored of his monster and wanted a serious remake...guess, his monster was better."

Cheryl paled as people around them burst out in laughter, and she ran out. Evan laughed along with his pals. I cringed, but my heart skipped a beat as his eyes met mine. He stared at me, and gave his cheesy smile. I gritted my teeth. He just humiliated that girl. I must not forget that.

"Hey ladies...guess you heard the news..." Evan looked at his sister, then at me.

"That was really unnecessary," I snapped at him.

"I'm simply updating the both of you on the current affairs of state...what's wrong with that?" Evan asked.

I jumped out of my chair.

"Woah," Evan smiled again. "Easy, princess..."

"You could have simply said no thank you..."

Evan leaned forward, and his mint breath flushed onto my face. "And where is the fun in that?"

I raised my brow. "So toying with a girl's feelings is fun to you? Is it all just a game?"

"Most of it is..." Evan nodded. "And the other half, well, that's just fun."

"Fun and games...makes sense, you're nothing but a five-year old dressed up in a man's suit..."

"Oooooh, burn," Ellie grinned. Evan however, only chuckled.

"At least I'm on fire Ellie," Evan said and turned to his sister. "You're just..."

"Just a what?" I interrupted and crossed my arms. "You don't stop do you?"

"No..." Evan shook his head. "I say what I want, and I most certainly get what I want too..."

I glared at him, but was screaming inside. He was hot, he was smart...but damnit he was a jerk.

My phone started vibrating in my pocket.

"Xcuse me," I pushed past him and took my phone out.

"What?"

"Wow, caught you in a bad mood, huh?"

My eyes widened. "Keith, sorry, this is just a bad time."

"You can give me the details later.  You have an interview...this afternoon, whenever school is done."

"Hey, thanks, I owe you one..." I said.

"Don't mention it...just don't bite of the head of the guy who you're angry with too much..."

"How do you know it's a guy?"

"Guys tend to make girl's angry..."

"Well, he deserves it..."

"Then bite off his head all you want..."

"Thanks..." I shut the phone of and turned around. I gasped as Evan was literally standing right behind me.

"So, princess, what exactly do I deserve?"

I swallowed as I could literally feel the heat radiate from him. He was inches away from me, and I stood there, frozen. What on earth was up with this guy?
