"Sweet dreams are made of these...
The lyrics blasted in my ears as I walked through the relatively empty halls. I bobbed my head back and forth as for my locker. I ignored the groups, and stares. Seemed like it was tradition for the newcomers to get treated as a target, and so any insults thrown at me was best drowned out in the music. I stopped by my locker. This time, I would dodge to ensure nobody booby trapped it...again. I glanced to my right to see the blonde dude, apparently named Johnny, grin at me. He did however, carry a black eye, a parting gift from Evan. But this did not seem to deter him from teasing or insulting me. His friends joined him, and I focused my attention on opening this stupid locker!
I shoved and shook the locker, but it still did not seem to open. I jumped as a fist slammed in the centre from someone right next to me. I looked at him and rolled my eyes.
"Morning Princess,"
"Stop calling me that," I said. I was about to open the now loosened locker, but Evan stood in front of me and crossed his arms.
"What should I call you then?"
I raised my brow. "By my name, idiot..."
Evan laughed. "And what exactly did you accomplish to make you a genius? You can't even get that locker open."
"No, apparently that's what I have you for...did you make anyone cry today?"
Evan shrugged. "Not yet, but I've got some diabolical plan growing in my mind..." He took a step closer to me, and I took a step back. Here it was. I was now his next target. He raised his brow, and I grew nervous. He tilted his chin. "You're scared..."
"Yeah..."
"I have that effect on people," Evan shrugged. He slammed my locker again, and it flipped open. Just then a huge pop sound reverberated through the room, and I saw a red liquid spray over Johnny and his pals. However, my locker door, acted as somewhat of a shield, and I gaped.
They started yelling and swearing and Evan leaned over to me. "You're welcome." He walked off and I saw him join a group of other boys who were laughing and mocking the jocks. I stared at Johnny who was glaring at Evan and his pals. This seemed to be an all out gang war in this school. I turned my attention towards Evan again, who was laughing and shaking his head. He shoved his hands in his pockets and strolled off. Leaving me amazed.
