I motioned Ellie to be quiet as she opened her mouth and motioned to her brother Evan.
His eyes were closed shut, and he was snoring just slightly. Seems like the chic-flick did it's job...not that it actually was a chic-flick. Ellie and I chose the most boring, slow-paced movie, while painting our nails, and working on maths. Evan got bored of his petty pranks, and his work-out seemed to have gotten the best of him. He was out like a candle.
Ellie texted me, and I checked my phone.
What do you suggest we do?
I grinned and responded.
I don't know? Maybe paint his nails...say we ran out of nails from our side and wanted to experiment with all the neon funky colours...
Ellie giggle softly.
Ellie: And maybe say we got a hold of the sharpie, and wanted to know how long it takes to get of someone's skin
Me: Lol, yeah, it's all one big scientific experiment...are you sure you want to do this though? Risk your brothers wrath...
Ellie: I can handle him ;), besides, it's the weekend, we just need to steer clear of photos and hurting his reputation, and he'll be bearable....besides...there is one thing I can say about him
Me: What?
Ellie: I've never visibly seen him angry, so shall we do it?
Me: Agreed
Ellie softly jumped up to fetch the sharpie while I opened a bottle of neon green nail polish. I moved closer to him and glanced at his hand, which lay limply on his chest. I stood up, and with one leg balanced myself to start painting his thumb...then did a big neon purple on his index finger. He did not stir, boy was he out of it. My thoughts strayed to Ellie's text that she had never actually seen him angry. I shook my head. How on earth did he do it? It was actually more infuriating, because no matter how hard a person tried then...they never seemed to 'get' to him. However, now he would sorely be put to the test.
Ellie tiptoed in and waited for me to finish with the nails before proceeding to draw a mustache and glasses. We then packed our stuff away and started watching a proper movie.
Evan groaned and sat up as the volume was set louder. "How long was I out?"
"Not long," Ellie remarked. "We decided to change the movie."
"Finally, I was starting to question your taste, and whether it was impeccably lower than the tea table..." Evan rubbed his eyes, leaving dark smudges and Ellie stifled a laugh.
Evan brought his hand lower and frowned. "What the..." Then his eyes widened as he caught sight of his fingernails.
Ellie and I burst out in laughter at Evan's face. It was a mixture of shock, disbelief and surprise. However, as quickly as it flashed on his face, he slapped on a grin.
"So you think this is funny huh?"
"Pretty much," I said. "I think it suits you...brings out the colour of your eyes..."
"But what's this black..." Evan took his phone and checked out his reflection. He lowered it, very slowly.
"I give you guys ten seconds...that is my mercy...but I swear, if I get my hands on you before dad returns..." Evan turned to Ellie then at me.
I jumped up along with Ellie and rushed out of the room. I took a quick peak back to see Evan still gazing in reflection in disbelief. I chuckled. Pranking a jerk was fun!
