I drank my coffee and started jotting down my English notes. Ellie appeared again, and I smiled at her.

"So, what did I miss?" Ellie asked.

"Wait, didn't you..."

"When he arrived, I visited the bathroom...leaves having to greet him, after the show..." Ellie grabbed her coffee and gulped it down.

"Ok..." I said cautiously. Obviously, Ellie wasn't such a big fan of her own brother. Which was weird.

People started pouring in and I looked at the stage as they were about ready. my heart jerked as Evan appeared again and flashed a charming smile to the crowds, despite having nearly being electrocuted twenty minutes ago.

"Good evening, ladies and gentleman," he started speaking, and his voice was soft and smooth. "I just want to thank you all for coming tonight..."

The audience started to eagerly clap, and he waited for the audience to die down.

"You see, tonight is a special night, because I almost didn't make it...yeah, you're right, you heard me..." he spoke as the gasps ensued. "But luckily a little lady, decided to save my life, quite literally actually...." My heart beat fast as his eyes met mine. "Why don't you come up here and introduce yourself...."

I wanted to sink down on the floor. This was how he decided to thank me?  I looked up to see Ellie's puzzled face.

"I'll explain later," I whispered as the crowds started to call and cheer for me. Man, this was embarrassing, but somewhat flattering too. I think.

I walked up to the stage and he offered me his hand to help me up. I raised my brow as I took the few steps up, gave a slight bow and attempted to walk off the stage.

"Wait, what's you name?"

I turned to see Evan staring at me.

"Does it matter?" I whispered back.

"Tell me your name, or I'll call you right back onto the stage...." Evan winked at me and I sighed.

"Agnus,"

Evan nodded and I quickly returned to my seat.

"So what happened?" Ellie shoved my shoulder. I opened my mouth to speak, but soon turned into a gape as Evan started singing. I looked at him as he had the microphone in his hand and started dancing. Boy, was he talented. He oozed of charm, confidence and my heart skipped a beat. This was the guy who's life I saved?

"Can I join you guys?"

I stopped staring at Evan to see Tyler at our table. Ellie nodded eagerly and she introduced me.

"Nice to meet you, great stunt you pulled there..."

"More luck than anything else..." I shrugged it off. My attention returned to Evan. But when I glanced at the people at our table I saw another girl join us, along with Sally, Evan's girlfriend. She was glaring at me when I met her gaze, and I quickly decided to look away. Evidently, she didn't like me stealing some of her boyfriend's attention.

When he finished his last song, the audience applaused, hooted and some even stood. I clapped hard, because, wow. He was just wow. He gave  bow, put the microphone back into it's place, then jumped off the stage and headed straight towards us. My heart skipped a beat, and I let out a breath of nervousness.

Dang it, keep it together, Agnus! I scolded myself. I gave another glance to Sally who was now beaming. He was taken.

"Hello, Agnus," he spoke and I looked at him. He was staring at me and grinned.

"Hi..." I spoke softly, feeling a little strange.

"Hello everyone else,"

"Hey jerk-face, was really hoping you'd fall off the stage this time," Ellie uttered and I shot her a surprised look.

"And I was really hoping you'd choke on that drink of yours, but hey, I guess disappointments happen," Evan shot back and I swallowed.

What the hell just happened to that sweet, charming guy on stage!?

"Nice to see nothing's changed," Tyler remarked softly, but Evan seemed to have  a response even for that.

"Oh, hey Tyler, didn't see you there, seems like invisibility looks good on you...you should keep at it..."

"Oh, be nice," Sally jumped off her chair and grabbed Evan. "You sang wonderfully tonight."

"Thank you," Evan kissed her and I glanced to Ellie who rolled her eyes and gave the gag motion. I only laughed.

"So, Agnus," Tyler spoke. "You new?"

"Yeah, we moved here last weekend..."

"Really?" Evan's voice rang behind me and I jumped slightly, startled. "Where from?"

"Well...that's need to know," I responded and Evan chuckled.

"Mysterious, I like it..."

"Shouldn't the flirting be left for your girlfriend?" I asked him straight out, and I heard Ellie snigger. Evan turned to her.

"You know you're damn lucky you're not the dumbest girl one earth. You better really hope she doesn't die though..."

"Oh, shove off, Evan," Ellie snapped back.

"Woah...guys...." Tyler attempted to bring some peace, but it only seemed to give Evan another excuse to shove another insult down the guy's throat.

"You know Tyler, I don't know what is worse...that hairline of yours, or your IQ," Evan responded.

Sally gasped and giggled, and I shook my head. How could things go sour so fast?

"Look, guys, I think I'm gonna call it a night..." I said as I started standing up.

"Why, you're gonna miss all the fun," Tyler pleaded but I shook my head.

"Thanks, but I've gotten enough taste and that enough was bitter to swallow..."

"Then maybe allow me to give you something sweet," Evan spoke and my stomach churned at this.

"Evan, you promised  a movie night, just us two..." Sally spoke. Her voice was strained, and I could understand why.

"Let me walk you out," Ellie spoke.  I unplugged my phone and started to walk out when Evan said.

"See you at school, Agnus..."

And I don't know why, but that made me more nervous, scared and excited at the same time. But why on earth would that thought of seeing him again appeal to me? He was an absolute, freakking JERK!
