Although the party was still for a few hours, Evan sat with me, and watched a movie. He even allowed it to be a chic-flick, and made some popcorn. I rested on his shoulder as I watched the movie, trying my best not to freak out over the fact that I had his undivided attention, and he actually saved my life. Knight in Shining Armour indeed. I was also grateful to Ellie, who had noticed I was underneath the whole commotion.

"I don't know why he doesn't kiss her already, it's obvious she likes him," Evan ranted and I giggled.

"Yeah, except he saw her with his best friend just an hour earlier, flirting..." I glanced up at him,and he only shook his head.

"That dumb idiot of a best friend has terrible style, who's basically as flat and boring as a piece of cardboard, and hair that looks like it came from a tumble dryer...and you except a girlto like a guy like him?"

"I don't know...he's kinda cute..."

"Then your taste in men is just about as bad as your taste in fashion..."

"I like you, so what does that sayabout you?" I looked up at him then blushed, realizing what I had just confessed. He smirked, and I knew he baited me into it. But how???

"That there is maybe room for redemption,"

I forced my gaze back to the movie, horrified that I just admitted my crush to Evan. However, he was cool about it, and remained quiet for the rest of the movie.

I didn't realize that I fell asleep until I started vividly recalling the bizzarre near drowning incident earlier. I woke up with a gasp.

"Hey, easy there Princess," Evan whispered. The room was dim, and the TV was now playing the latest episode of the Green Arrow. So Evan Fletcher was a DC fan. But then, why on earth was I still here?

"You fell asleep near the end of your chic-flick movie, so I didn't want to wake you..." Evan spoke.

"I wish you had," I mumbled. I sat forward and rubbed my eyes. This nightmare was not going away anytime soon.

"Why'd you ghost me?"

"What?" I asked. "Why are you asking me this now?"

"Because late nights is the same equation as a timed truth serum for girls...why'd you ghost me?"

I sighed, realizing he wasn't about to let it go. "I was scared....ok? I was scared that after a few dates you...were going to break my heart."

Before I knew it, Evan cupped my face and forced me to look at him.

"How many times am I going to have to tell you, that you're the exception... today, when I heard you were under there..." Evan swallowed. "I was terrified. The thought of losing you..."

I stared at him in silence. Everything seemed to slow down. I noted rain pattering on the window, and his eyes never leaving mine. I took a deep breath.

"Look Evan...."

Before I could finish, he leaned over and kissed me again. Sparks ignited inside of me, as he pushed his one hand through my hair and the other on my back. He pulled me closer, and this time kissed me for longer. I was lost in the moment.

Rain pattered hard, and lightening rumbled. However, all I could focus on was the warmth of Evan'shands on my skin, and his kiss. He kissed me again then pulled back.

"Be mine, Agnus, you don't have to be afraid..."

I looked up into his eyes. Was it possible? Could I have captured this singer's heart?

Should I take the risk?

I did, with a single nod. I decided to take the leap.
