The White Lion

Chapter 9

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
          I groan as I here my alarm go off and slip out of bed. I look at the clock and it reads 5:30 am. I hear the entire house has been put to life with voices and laughter. I quickly grab my toothbrush and toothpaste and head to the guest bathroom to get ready. After I was done I relized that I done have any "country clothes" to wear and I really dont want to be asking for things on my first day. Well might as we'll have some breakfast so I can think. I smell the foods they are making and it made my stomach rumble. I open my door to be welcome with a good morning from Marco and Luis who just happen to be walking by. I reply back and grab a biscuit and 2 pieces of bacon and sit down at the table.
          "You can't possible get full off of that sweetheart." Grandma McClain says while looking at me.
          "Yeah but I cant really have a lot for breakfast...it makes my stomach feel weird." I say before taling a bit a the biscuit.
          "Okay as long don't pass out its all good." She says as she gets back with another conversation. Rachel sat on my other side.
          "Do you have any overalls to wear today?" She asks gentley. Her voice is soft and kind.
          "No I don't..." I say back completely forgetting I am in my pajamas.
          "Follow me, Mama come here." Then we go into this room that is filled with clothes. It looked like this is all there old clothes that dont fit anymore. "She needs a couple clothes to wear." She tells her mother who just entered the room. Rachel then leaves and that just leaves me and Mrs. McClain.
          The asks me what sizes I wear and then proceeds to hand me about 5 pairs of overalls with 2 pairs of boots. "That should do you good for right now until we go into town and buy you some." She says, "anyway get dressed and meet me by the cow pen. That's where you will working since Lance used to work there and we need someone to fill that spot."
          "Okay, and you dont need to buy me anything these will be just fine." I say not wanting to hirt her feelings.
          "Honey you are apart of pur family now which means I get to treat you. So nkw get dressed and hurry down there." She says with a sweet smile while leaving the room. I then go to my room find one of Shiro's old shirt I happen to have by stealing and put that on along with the overalls and boots. This is going to be so weird...i never have worked with cows before. I have only worked with the birth of one. One time when I was on my friends farm there family's cow happened to be pregnant and give birth when I was there and since it was only me and him I jad to handle the calf. I thought it was really cool; even if I got slime all pver my clothes.
          Omce I got down there she showed me the ropes, added me to the family chat room, and let me get on my way.

          I have been working on the family farm for about 6 months now and gkt the hang of how things worked. More importantly got to know the people that worked on the farm. The one person I havent really been close with was Veronica but she was at the Garrison and so was James....God I miss my friends and especially Adam. I hope he doing okay.
          "Umm...Mrs. McClain I have a question for you," I ask hoping she has what I am going to ask. "Do you have to have a motorcycle or bike I could borrow? I want to go in and see my friends flr a little bit. They said they have the rest of the night of."
          "Yeah we have Lance's old motorbike. I'm pretty sure it still works; you can use that if you want."
          "Thank you so much!" I say as I hug her and run to the garage and see the bike. I quickly make sure it has has and make sure it is working properly. Then I hit the road. The truth is I am not going to see my friends. I am actually going back to see if that White Lion is still there. I want to see if it works. Please be there please be there. I arrive at the cave in less that an hour and hope for the best. And to my luck she is still there. But this time the Lion happens to have a shield protecting it.
          This wasn't here last time. I go up and touch it and it vaporized beofre my eyes, and opens a hatch that leads it inside. I walk and it is a ship. I look and see a seat and I walk over to see so many controls. I take a seat and admire how pretty this ship and respond to Mrs. McClain's text and telling her I am her. Then everything goes to life and the Lion starts to move. "Woah!!! Hey! HOW DO I TURN THIS OFF!" I screamed pit of fear and the Lion is now out off the cave and jumps toward the sky. I start to pull levers and push buttons but none lf them are working. Why wont you stop! Is all I could think before I am forced to see the world I once knew shrink.
