Janto oneshots

Late night

Ianto had been up late last night. Very late, and not the good kind of 'up late' either it was the 'too much work to do' up late. He didn't recall doing it but at some point he must have curled up on the small comfortable sofa in jacks office because that is where he woke up. He shifted his arm as he realised a weight on it that definitely hadn't been there before. He looked at his body to see that jacks RAF greatcoat had been laid over him like a blanket. Except jack had been out weevil hunting last night so what was his coat doing her- oh. "Afternoon sleepy head it's one pm" came the distinct American drawl of the captain that ianto knew so well. As Ianto's eyes focussed on the room he realised that, for the whole day, jack had been using the small lamp on his desk as a work light to avoid waking ianto up with the harsh main light. "Um .... hi" ianto mumbled as his sleepy mind processed the fact he might actually have to answer the immortals statement. Ianto, still sleep deprived and fully aware he would look like a child for doing so, pulled the coat over his nose and inhaled jacks scent sighing contentedly as he did so. "You like the coat huh?" Jack asked him sitting down on the edge of the sofa. Ianto nodded and pulled it tighter around him, the others had all got to wear it for various reasons and ianto, being a lot more hub operated, had never really had his turn with it. He felt his eye lids begin to drop again with fatigue as jack stroked his hair. Ianto didn't even notice the words that fell from his lips as he fell asleep "I love you jack". In fact, the last thing ianto remembered hearing from jack was "I love you too ianto I really do you're my-". Ianto never did know how that sentence was going to end. But jack did and jack meant every word of it.
