"LIFE IS LIKE COTTON CANDY. TASTY BUT DISPARENT!"

"you did come today." she heard from her door, she turned, seeing johnny.

"what are you doing here?" she asked, annoyed.

"sorry. it's just you've been flaking on our group." johnny said.

mackenzie sat up, rubbing her stomach. "i barley know you guys. me and the girls made a stupid pact when we hardly knew each other. we just wanted attention and time for ourselves when we made that pact. me and annie are close since we both are gonna be single moms and like to talk about things. stuff we don't talk to you or emily about. we don't know each other."

"you're right. we don't know each other. but i want to know you." johnny said, "we're all in this, we have to stick together."

mackenzie sighed, closing her laptop. "no we're not. look at it my way. me and the girls made a pact, to get pregnant and have babies. look what happened to you, you got kicked out of your house, stopped normal high school like us which ruined your chance to get a football scholarship."

johnny was quiet, counting in his head. "you said earlier you were 7 months."

"i am 6 months." mackenzie quivered.

johnny looked at her, "how far are you?" mackenzie closed her eyes, silent, "i want a paternity test."

"i'm 6 months ok! i just feel really guilty about what happened between us and emily. i promise you, i'm 6 months." mackenzie lies, her best lie yet.

"ok, ok." johnny gave up, then went back to his car. he went home, and decided to tell emily about what happened. "are you gonna say something?" he asked, seeing emily just looking straight at the turned off tv.

she looked at him, emotionless, "ok."

johnny furrowed his eyebrows, "what do you mean ok?"

"i'm fine. it happened once and we're gonna have a kid together now." emily said, quietly, "but one thing you have to do."

"what is it? anything." johnny begged.

"no more contact with her."

"wait what?" annie asked, laying on kenzie's couch.

"emily just texted me saying i cannot ever message her or johnny." mackenzie said, showing annie the texts.

"but we have a pact. a stupid pact. but we still have to go to therapy together." annie said, eating chocolate ice cream.

"she made her mom and dad pull her from therapy." mackenzie said, then took a spoonful of ice cream in her mouth.
