"ARIES; USUALLY ARE PRONE TO WANTING TO PHNCH PEOPLE IN THE FACE FROM IRRITATION!"
—
the girl stepped off the jet, taking off her sunglasses as she looked around. she ran down, seeing her friend who had called her. "mack!" hugging, their smiles were to their ears. "what happened? you never told me!"
"well," they got into mackenzie's car.
"where are we going?" annie asked.
"you'll see." mackenzie replied.
"are you mad about me and hayden?" annie asked, worried.
"and what's between you and hayden?" mackenzie tried to hold back her smirk.
"well, we've been, talking and-" annie caught her friend's smile, "you know."
"of course i know. i practically pushed him towards you. i love hayden and seeing him happy when talking with you is great. we've both moved on and i'm happy it's with you." annie smiled even greater.
"i suppose you're moving on with johnny?" annie asked, smirking.
mackenzie's cheeks reddened, "not really. i'm pretty sure he knows i'm interested but, i barley had my baby and me and hayden are practically living together now. i'm handling school, a job, the school, and my kids, i have no room for a relationship."
"you say that now, but watch. in ten years it'll be the same." annie teased, then looked in the backseat to make sure her baby girl was ok. the baby's full name was lola kate leblanc. named after her mother of course.
"i'm not into dating right now annie. i've got three children. twins in kindergarten and a newborn." mackenzie made up excuses.
"oh please. i run a full on company, well about five if you include my smaller ones. have a 5 month old baby, and help my sister with her schooling. no excuses." they both just laughed as they pulled into mackenzies driveway. "wow, such a surprise mack." annie said sarcastically.
"oh shush, i just wanted to make it more interesting. for the first five seconds." mackenzie opened the front door, "kids, auntie annie is here!" they heard the little feet run towards them from the backyard.
"yay!" they hugged annie, who had put down the baby carrier just as they ran towards her. "is this baby lola?" they asked, turning towards the baby.
"yes, wanna hold her?" annie offered. i
"may we?" ivana asked, her eyes were bright and happy.
"go wash your hands first." mackenzie told them, then watched them run to the restroom.
"where's hayden?" annie asked, looking around, only seeing johnny coming from the backyard. "hi johnny."
"hi annie." he replied, "hayden is still at work for the rest of the day. until dinner. he called me to pick up the twins."
"ok, well it's already four so i should get dinner ready." mackenzie said, clapping her hands then went to the kitchen. "hey johnny, actually can you bring me alexander?" mackenzie asked, "or have you fed him already?"
"hayden fed him before i came. but he's sleeping right now." johnny explained.
"ok thanks. when he wakes up, get me." mackenzie told him, then put on her apron. "annie, how does lasagna sound?"
annie was handing lola to ivana who was sitting on the couch, "sure." annie nodded, then watched the twins hold lola.
as mackenzie took out the ingredients, she saw johnny come from the living room and towards her. she ignored him, grabbing some spices. well until she felt him behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist. "j-johnny." she mumbled, placing down the pepper. "the twins."
"they're busy." he kissed her cheek, then spun her around, "now stop worrying."
as he leaned in, but she ducked and moved away, bringing the ingredients to the kitchen island. "we've talked about this."
"no, we didn't." he replied rather quickly.
"tonight. maybe." she reassured, then shooed him out of the kitchen.
"bye guys, i'm gonna go pick up allison." johnny kissed the twin's forehead, winking at mackenzie before he left.
mackenzie just laughed, shaking her head as she continued cooking.
