Chapter 16

Gauri was released. Soumya had come to take her. Omkara refused. He decided to take her to Oberoi Mansion. Though Mr.Oberoi was there,she was still safe as he would be with her 24/7. She was not safe out of his eyesight. They all were in the cabin. A nurse was checking Gauri. She suddenly spoke,
"Mr.Oberoi your wife should go with you and not anybody else. You can take the best care of your wife." Omkara gulped.
"Wife?" Gauri asked confused.
Shivaay who knew the truth said,
"Sister,can you excuse us?"
The nurse left without saying anything.
"Wife?"
"Vo... actually..." Omkara stammered.
"Actually the nurse thought you are his wife by seeing the way he was taking care of you..hehe" Shivaay lied.
Omkara sighed. He mentally thanked his brother. Nobody said anything but gave suspicious looks but Gauri did not seem suspicious and that was enough for Om.

I'm was successful in bringing Gauri to Oberoi Mansion. Gauri had denied because she did not want to be a burden on them but eventually gave in. As they brought her inside Gauri saw Omkaraji's father glaring at her. Why? She didn't know. Omkara made her sit on the sofa and sat beside her while Anika went to bring water for her...

Omkara opened one of the guest rooms for though he wanted her to stay in his room. He was happy that her room was right beside his and now he can easily check on her. He needed to protect her from Tej Singh Oberoi. Omkara sighed. It's all because of him. He called a servant to clean the room and keep Gauri's things here.

"I can't thank you enough." Gauri said as Omkara made her sit on the bed of her room.
"No need to say thanks."
"Why?"
"Because I L...I am your friend,ain't I?"
"Yes,you are. Par ajkal dost bhi dost ke liye itna nahi karte. Thank you so much."
"I am always there for you." Omkara said making her smile and continued,
"Now you lie down and take rest. I'll come to check on you."
Gauri lay down and I'm covered her with the duvet and left closing the door beside him.

Gauri woke up in the middle of the night. She felt thirsty and looked at the bedside table. There was an empty jug. She decided to get some water. She took the jug and slowly came out of the room. She was near the stairs and suddenly felt dizzy and slipped. Gauri closed her eyes feeling very scared. She was gonna fall but did not. The jug had already fallen out of her hand. She felt somebody pick her up. Gauri felt somebody pick her up and gasped. She slowly opened her eyes and saw Omkara.
"What were you doing?" he asked while carrying her to her room.
"I was going to bring water. I am thirsty," replied Gauri.
"You should have called me." Omkara said exasperated.
"I didn't want to trouble you anymore." Gauri said guiltily.
"Gauri! You are not a trouble. I genuinely want to do something for you!" Omkara admonished.
Gauri remained quiet. Placing her down on the bed he went to bring water for her.

Omkara walked inside her room with water and found her already asleep. He decided not to wake her up and kept the jug and a glass on the bedside table. He was going out but turned to look at her. She looked so peaceful while sleeping. He noticed that she was leaning on the bedpost. He made her lie down comfortably and covered her with the duvet. He decided to go to his room but couldn't. He looked at her and felt greedy. She was sleeping. She wouldn't know. He felt like a pervert but couldn't help it. He locked the door. He slowly got inside the duvet and hugged her. She felt so soft. He smiled. She fit into his arms so perfectly. He snuggled her. Gauri wrapped her arms around his waist and buried her head in his chest,her button nose rubbing against his taut chest. Omkara decided he would leave before she woke up. He closed his eyes and drifted into sleep. That night he had the best sleep of his life having the love of his life in his arms.

Nobody noticed but it was raining that time. The raindrops were falling slowly, actually it was drizzling making the nature peaceful just like the two people who had the most peaceful night of their life. The rain showed,no matter how hard it is,you will get peace one day. Nature showed the love and peace of Omkara and Gauri in its own way.

I know it was boring. Just a simple chapter.
