Gauri woke up hearing the sound of her alarm. It was six in the morning. She got up fron the bed and went to washroom. After taking her bath she offered her morning prayer to her shankarji. She went downstairs and had her breakfast. Gauri then looked at her phone to see it was 7:30. She has to reach the bakery at eight. The bakery opens at 9 am. Before opening the bakery she and other workers have to make some preparations. She decided to leave for the bakery now.
Gauri came outside only to find a bouquet of roses in front of her hostel. She sighed. This has been the scenarion since the past one month. She gave the bouqet to an old age home. The old couples felt happy when they saw their place decorated with roses every morning. After giving roses she walked to to her bakery. Yes,she walks to the bakery now. Doesn't take auto anymore. At first she used to take a rickshaw and after getting doen the driver wouldn't take his fare from her. Gradually she understood that those drivers were already paid and told to take her to work. Since then she decided to walk to the bakery. Gauri was walking when she felt a familiar car right beside her. Not again! Every day he does that. When she would walk he would follow her with his car and the speed would be really slow,so that hhe can be by her side.Gauri entered the bakery while he parked the car nearby. He would wit there for now. He would be the first customer the moment they opened the bakery.
At 9 Anika came and they opened the cafe and as usual he came inside, took his usual seat, ordered for brownies and taking out his scetchbook anf pencils he statarted sketching something. Gauri felt curious to know what had he been drwaing but never asked. After that day she stopped talking to him. Gauri sighed. How long? How long will he keep doing that? By know she had his schedule memorized. He would stay here till noon and then he would leave during lunch and thrn come back again in the afternoon and would keep asking for brownies. She had lost count of the brownies he ate in a day.
Presently she saw him waving at a waiter. Now he would order more brownies. What was he even trying to do?Hadn't she already told him that she did not want to enter a relationship with him? Then why was he doing this?
Do you really not want him? Asked her heart and Gauri sighed shaking her head. These thoughts shouldn't be in her head.Whatever he is doing should not be affecting her resolve. But wasn't her heart already effected by him?Evening...
The bakery was about to close. All the customers had started leaving. Gauri also prepared to leave when he called her to give his bill. He looked so casual and unaffected. Taking his bill Gauri approached his table. He saw bill and put cash in the bill holder.
"Hope you liked our service, sir." saying this Gauri left. He went outside. Gauri knew he would not leave. When dhe would go he would drive slowly by her side and make sure she reached home safe. She was putting the money in the drawer when she saw a piece of paper under the notes. No! Not again! He has been doing this for the padt month. Today also! As usual the paper said, I love you jaan...
I know the chapter was short but it was needed for the story. The chapter would lose its essence if I dragged it. The next part would be Omkara's point of view.
