1:05 a.mtoday i met a person totally different from the other people i know. i couldn't imagine how blunt and direct he could be. he was a transfer student who introduced himself as Bright but his personality isn't shining as his name. he acts cool or maybe he really is. but for what i think, he do not care about what others might say to him. he just wants to be him and that's cool.
he looks good making all of the girls who sees him drool. i wasn't about to give a single damn about this man but he stared at me and i had to smile at him. he smiled back at me. well, he smirked. that kind of grin which is classified as sarcastic.
the professor asked him to get on his seat at the back but he went towards my direction and asked the girl beside me if he could change seats with him. the girl, beaming like an idiot, agreed.
i couldn't focus on the discussions. he was staring at me all the time and i can't help but get sweaty. i do not like to be stared at and i do not want any attentions. if possible, i just want a low profile. keep myself plain and normal as i could be. i don't want to get in trouble. all my life i have been dealing with the battles i have to fight. it is not easy to live a life you want to end.
"Aren't you hot?" he suddenly asked me. i shook my head from left to right as a no.
"Why are you wearing a jacket?" he was so persistent. he kept asking me and i had only two choices: first, answer him but he wouldn't stop asking. second, completely ignore him and wait till the class ends.
i chose the second.
when the class ended, i hurried to get my stuff to get rid of him. but he did not let go of me. i stood up and he pulled my bag. his face was so close to my nape i could feel his breath.
the students left in the room where staring and my heart couldn't handle the situation. i closed my eyes. inhaled and exhaled to relax my nerves. i asked him what he wanted from me and he asked for my name.
"Win." i told him and eventually he let me go.
i walked outside the room and went straight to my spot. the isolated tree in the huge grass field of our university. i could just lay down on the grass under the shades of the old big tree.
i was already there and just realized i was being followed. he was following me. when i looked at him, he grinned again. i rolled my eyes at him.
i sat down on the grass and took out the lunch i made for myself. i brought myself peanut butter sandwich, bananas and apples.
he was just standing in front of me while i was eating. i looked up at him and faked a smile.
"Why are you smiling?" he asked.
i was munching on my lunch, minding my own business. again, i smiled at him.
"Can't I smile?" I said, sarcastically.
"You smile. But all I could see is pain and despair." He looked at me and I know from that very moment, he saw through me.
I dropped my food on the grass and spaced out. he sat next to me, grabbed my hand and lifted up the sleeves of my jacket. i couldn't move. how did he figure out myself from the moment we locked eyes?
he saw the cuts on my wrist. i couldn't decipher the emotions on his eyes. he stared me and kept staring at me.
i was losing my breath. my heart was beating so fast from nervousness. he did not let go of my hand. he moved his head towards me, lifted my hand and kissed the cuts on my wrist.
he's cool but he's weird too.
