"Are you sure you don't want to come to the party tonight, it's going to be lit" Kyle asks he really looked excited. Probably because he'll be getting girls with his Afrikaans. "No I'm sure, I'm going to Kisha remember?" I was excited to see both Kyle and Adi. I really missed them even though I won't admit it. "You guys never came to visit me this much when I was alone" Nick mutters clearly irretated. Adi grabbed a pancake "That's because you don't cook" Kyle laughs but clearly Nick didn't enjoy the joke

"I won't be seeing you guys again today so bye enjoy your party" when I went to the front door I heard Adi screaming "I'll send you the location if you change your mind". I laughed "Trust me I won't, geniet die meisies vanaand" (enjoy the ladies tonight) "What does that mean Kyle ask but I leave without answering him. I was really excited to see Kisha.

" Hey girl wassup" i see her across the street she offered to come pick me up. "Girl why you ain't tell me that you're dating Nick SCOTT" I look at her confused as to why she emphasised his surname "His the son of Mr. Paul Scott" the presidents lawyer. " I look at her, shocked by what she just told me "But if that's true why aren't they here, living with him? " I ask genuinely curious "Rumours have it that his wife had an affair with another man and left him, his son was a reminder of his mother's unfaithfulness so he left Nick as well he only visits sometimes, girl I thought he yo man why tf don't you know these things" I stay silent " I guess he never bothered to tell me.

Flashback

" What do you want to become when you graduate " he asks in his deep husky voice " a lawyer " I state proudly and his mood changed I could feel it " Why? " he asks and I was caught off guard" It's simple my mom's a judge and father a police officer "I answer him I did mention all of this to him before. " That's great and all Ava but you didn't answer me" I catch onto what he was saying and was silent "I don't know, all my life they told me that they wanted me to become a lawyer and I didn't want to dissapoint them. "I'll ask again, what do you want to become? " I didn't know what to say because he makes me question everything.

"Ava we've heard so much about you" The elderly woman smiles to me and I smile "Good things I hope" I laugh and a little boy ran inside the kitchen "Wow you weally pwetty" I look at him and my heart melted "You're adorable" the words escape my mouth and I could tell it made him shy because he ran away "That's my son" Kisha says "If I may ask how old are you" she looks at me. "23, I got Hakeem when I was 20 my dad wasn't around so I had to drop out of school and find a job. I worked at Walmart for 2 years when I met Hakeems daddy. I was 18 young and in love, he said everything I wanted to hear you know? He'll take care of me and he loves me.... I was so stupid. When I was pregnant with Hakeem he got arrested. He's been dealing with drugs trying to give Hakeem a better life but that wasn't the way you know?" I look at her truly heartbroken but I was silent " he left money for us, at first I didn't want to take it because it was drug money but I didn't have a choice how was I gon raise a baby,. So I took the money and started a salon" she's by far the bravest woman I've ever met I didn't know what to do so I gave her a hug "I'm sorry you're just really easy to talk to" I smile feeling honored that she shared such private information with me "Mommy I'm hungwy" Hakeem grabs his mother's leg and she turns around "Why you cwying mommy" she smiles at him "I'll dish up" I tell her we sit at the table and eat. Hakeem's grandmother was quite interesting. We washed the dishes and I was off.

It was still early so I went and took a bath.Bored I decided to go to this stupid party afterall. I put on my make up and white cap deciding on my nikes.I wore a dark blue jean with a black crop top hoodie. Pleased with my outfit I took the keys and tapped into the location Kyle send me. This morning when I arrived there the parking lot was full of people, it was a struggle to get inside when I spotted Sarah sitting on Finn's lap. "Heyy" I walk over to them and they smile, greeting me "you came" Sarah said clapping her hands giving me a hug "Yeah I came afterall, where's Nick?" I ask the music was too loud I had to repeat myself "probably inside" Finn answered laughing "We should get you a drink" Sarah commanded and I followed her inside it was really crowded. 7 shots later I decided to search for Nick even in my drunken state I can't stop thinking about him. Walking to what looked like the living room I spotted Adi and Kyle I make my way over to them. "No girls?" I ask "Nee" (no) Kyle says dissapointment clear in his voice "awww cheer up guys, I'll go fetch us some drinks" Kyle's face brighten up "Nah you sit I'll go get us" Adi yelled offering me to take a seat. "Hey where's Nick" I ask "I don't know his probably dancing." Adi returned with our drinks and I scanned the room not seeing Nick anywhere I encouraged the guys to help me look for him. Sarah and Finn joined I was drunk . I gave up the hunt for Nick because I really needed to pee as I opened the door there he was making out with someone who looked way to familiar
