(Ava's Pov)

I don't know why I allowed him to kiss me twice. I hope things don't get awkward between us if nick and I ever decided to get back together, I had to tell him the truth. I was excited because Leila was arriving any time now. I told Kyle and he said she can come stay here there was no need to book a hotel. She makes everything better. I heard a knock on the door "Leila" I scream and hug her "I... Can't.... Breath" she whispers and I release her laughing "Its so good to see you" I tell her meaning it "I missed you" she says I take her bags and put it in my room. "So where's this Kyle you've been talking about" she searches the apartment "He went with Adi to get some stuff" I tell her, I made myself clear when I said I didn't want to celebrate my birthday. I act fine in front of everyone but the reality is I missed Nick but I didn't regret kissing Kyle I've done something terrible. "So tell me what happened" Leila throws herself on my bed I laid next to her and told her everything even about Kyle hoping she won't judge me. "Do you like Kyle"she asks and I think about it for a moment" That's impossible I can't start liking someone in a matter of days " she listens carefully" so you're considering forgiving Nick" I look at her that didn't cross my mind once "Ava we're home" I hear Kyle shout but who was "we"? Leila and I went downstairs and I saw Kyle and Adi downstairs. Adi froze staring at Leila and her cheeks turned red. I chuckled. "Well you must be Leila I'm Kyle" he introduced himself "So you're the guy who kissed my best friend" Leila looks at him "Wait you guys kissed? " Adi asked shocked "Twice" Kyle said not breaking eye contact with me i look at the ground. This was so wrong. Leila notices and introduced herself to Adi. "Pleasures all mine Mami" he takes her hand and kisses it "You speak Spanish" Leila asked I know that was a major turn on for her but gross "Si" he answers his accent suddenly thicker than I remembered it was "Te voy a Amar" Leila looks at him and he smiles I didn't know what that meant because I didn't know one thing about Spanish

"Ava would you please excuse yourself I need to have a word with Kyle" I look at her and Kyle and wondered what she wanted to talk about. "I'm not a baby" I commented everyone treated me like a baby and I wasn't. "Go Ava we'll be fine". Angry, I went to my room or was it my room? Adi joined "Sooooo Ava" I laugh knowing where this conversation is heading "Your friend....." he says slowly and I look at him "Yes what about her" I tap on the bed indicating him to come sit. "Is she single? " he asks really soft as if she's standing by the door "Yes she is but she won't be easy" I look at him "That's how I like them" he snorts and I laugh at his confidence "What are you going to do?" he asks me and I breath heavily tired of this conversation. "Even if I did forgive Nick we wouldn't work because I'm not going to stay here forever. I'm going home, Kyle probably felt bad for me that's why he kissed me but even if I liked him I couldn't it would ruin him and Nick's friendship forever and I can't allow that, I'm just going to go home" he was silent figuring out what to say to me "Both would do just about anything for you"

Flashback

"Do you know how I would celebrate your birthday baby" I look at him curious "How" I ask "I would wake you up with a kiss on your forehead and carry you downstairs then I would give you the cake that I made and take you out to wherever you would want to go and after that probably have sex" I laugh "That sounds nice" he chuckles "But for now all I can do is wish you a happy birthday baby, I love you. " I smile "Forever" I tell him really meaning it

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY AVA" Leila pushes me off the bed "We have a lot to do"...... "Leila!" I moan on the floor. That was painful I stood up to see its only 7am . Deciding to ignore my best friend I went down to grab us some coffee and there he was putting candles in a white cake "Kyle what are you doing" I ask him and he looks at me "Happy birthday Ava he hugs me and I smile" Thanks, want some coffee? " I ask him but he politely declined I drank my coffee and ate cake with Kyle and Leila, I went upstairs to go shower when I saw a text You were an angel seeking chaos and I was a devil seeking peace I believe in destiny and in fate otherwise I would never have met you. Happy birthday I love you. Forever.
Nick I whisper and a tear escaped my eye. I typed that I loved him but erased the message and went to go shower when I got out Leila was sitting on the bed "We're going to go do our nails hair and go shopping" I look at her. To be honest I didn't want to do any of that but she came so far it wasn't fair of me. So I put on a tight and top and we were off.
