4 YEARS LATER

I can't believe it's been four years. Not a single day has gone by that I didn't think of Nick. Here I was taking a plane to the very place I got my heart broken.

I was an actor but I studied to become an English and biology teacher. I moved to Paris picked up a few pounds and gained some confidence. I relaxed my hair for the movie I was shooting but I didn't mind. It was time for change. I'll get you by the airport. News came out that you'll be in America for a week. My assistant Tony texted me. He came 2 days before I did to make sure everything was sorted on my arrival. When we landed the car was already waiting for me. I got in and was on my way "You must be hungry Madame" Tony stated in his thick accent "Ouie" I reply reading the newspaper "Shall we stop by a restaurant first?" he asked me and I smiled "You know me so well." We got to my hotel room and I asked Tony to get my schedule ready, though I was here for work it was my best friend's wedding. How pathetic. I brought my assistant as my date. "You'll be meeting Leila for coffee at 2:30,the producers wanted a meeting to discuss a new series with you at 4pm and Jaydon Heart wanted to meet you, he said he has a proposal you wouldn't want to miss out on" it was 11am so I decided to go to the one person I missed dearly "Shall I escort you with security?" I smile at him "No need Tony thank you. " Nothing has changed about this place. I walk to the front porch and knocked. "Kisha? Is that you" I squeel as I give her a hug "Guurl you got thicker" she comments I laugh "I see you haven't changed a bit" I reply, she looks at me "Get inside" she invited me in and I do as I'm told, scanning the room for Hakeem. "He went with his father." Surprised I looked at her "Yeah he got out and we decided to work on things" she really looked happy "I'm glad for you" I tell her and mean it "Where's your mom" her mood changed in an instant "She passed away three years ago. Cancer" I was so sad to hear that "I'm sorry Kisha" she gave me a side smile "So tell me what are you doing here? Famous girl? I snorted " I don't know about that" We walk towards the kitchen and she grabs a bottle of wine "Leila's getting married. " She looks at me shocked "That shit gon be awkward as fuck" she says and I agree "After four years I think I'm over it" I lie and she just laughs "Well girl let's hope so, besides it looks like you got your shit together so everything is gon be okay" we drank our wine. "I missed you" I tell her in all honesty she grabs my hand and squeezes it "I missed you too".....

"Congratulations Leila " I give her a hug, how I missed her. "Thank you Ava" she says and I smile. "So tell me everything how, when and where? " she giggles. She really looks happy, her hair was shorter and I was delighted to see that I wasn't the only one who got fatter. "I never went back to S.A I decided to study sociology here, I moved in with Adi and we started dating. He introduced me to his parents and he was studying astrology. We both decided to finish our studies before focusing on our love life 6months ago he popped the question " her excitement was rubbing off of me. "That's amazing Leila once again I'm so happy for you" I tell her. You need to leave a fan saw you at the restaurant I read the text Tony send me and look at Leila. "Hey let's go to my hotel room and chat there" she looked confused but I put my glasses on and we were in the van "I don't want anyone to know that I'm in America" I explained to her "Ohhh, by the way congratulations, I feel so proud when you appear on the screen and we have company over. I remind them everytime that, that is my best friend" I laugh at her ridiculousness she hasn't changed one bit. So how's everyone been doing I ask her not really caring about them I just wanted to know about Nick. "Well Sarah and Finn got married, they have a kid now, Kyle finished his studies and in a short time became one of the top doctors and Nick, he sold the house and moved to Switzerland became a famous poet" I take a sip of my coffee "I'm glad everyone moved on"i mutter." I don't know will Nick be attending the wedding and I'm sorry but since he didn't answer Adi, you'll be partnered up with Kyle. " I looked at my best friend, she's still so caring. "It's your big day, you don't have to apologize for anything. " Tony knocks on the door and comes in "Should I cancel all your meetings" I look at him and Leila and I really needed to catch up with her "ouie, thanks Tony" Leila winked at me "Is he?" I realize what she was asking and snork "NO!"  We both laugh at her statement.
She called Adi to tell him that she's going to sleep by me and I ordered some pizza and wine. "We shouldn't get wasted we have a dress fitting tomorrow" she tells me
