When we were on our way home it was late. I had a lovely day with Leila. I had a black dress on showing my curves it was elegant and I wanted to try something new I wore gold heals with it and wore my hair straight, my nails were red. I looked okay. Leila wore a white strapless dress and silver heels probably trying to impress Adi. I open the door and switch the light on "Suprise!" I hear everyone shout but was shocked and Leila laughed "I didn't want this" I whisper to Leila with a smile so people wouldn't notice I was upset "Yeah I know but it's your birthday have fun" I scan the crowd and see Finn, Sarah and Kisha I run towards her and give her a hug "How did you" she puts her finger on my mouth"Kyle " I search for him but couldn't find him the music started playing and I went upstairs I really wanted to greet Finn and Sarah but I couldn't find it in my heart to. I went to my room to put the bags down. I opened the door to see Kyle stand there with roses. He wore a black suit and my room was lit with candles "You did this for me?" I ask "You look beautiful Ava" I walk towards him and take the flowers "I know you didn't want anything special but Leila thought"..."It's perfect" I reply shutting him up "Can I have this dance?" he reaches his hand out to me. I giggle "Do you want to slow dance on this music?" I ask him but takes his hand. He gently pushes my body towards his, his other hand on my waist he starts singing "

I look up at him tears forming in my eyes and kissed him. He allows me to when I hear glass shatter. I rush downstairs to make sure everyone was okay when I heard him "Where the fuck is she!" I freeze "Nick" as if hearing me he looks at me eyes red scanning my body he slurs. "You look beautiful baby happy birthday. " I look at Finn and Sarah with pleading eyes. They told everyone that the party was over. Leila looked furious "Get the fuck out right now! " he looks at her and laugh "And who are you" she looks at me "Ava go upstairs" I do as I'm told when I hear him scream "That's enough! You're coming home with me right now!" my eyes searched for Kyle but he was nowhere to be found. "You broke her heart do you honestly think I'll allow you to ruin her" he looks at me. I didn't notice him anymore "I already did" realization stroked me, his going to tell them that he took my virginity "Fine im coming with you" I hiss. Leila looks at me shocked "I'll be okay I promise. See you tommorow morning at 8" I tell her and walk with him "I'm driving" I spit out and take his car keys he doesn't argue. When we arrived at his house I got out the car. I looked around at the place and it reeked. He made a big happy birthday poster and I saw the broken whisky bottle on the floor. I walked to the kitchen to get myself a glass of water when I saw the photos on the floor I picked one up. It was when I still had braces. He was a wreck. I suddenly felt bad, he came to me and I looked at him. He had bruised knuckles and bags under his eyes he was hurting too. He kissed me on my forehead and said happy birthday he took out the cake out of the fridge and gave me a slice. Unable to control my feelings I let it all out "No baby don't... " before he could finish he was on the floor. He was wasted. I helped him up to his room. Nothing changed I took off his hoodie and and threw a blanket over him. "Don't go baby, stay with me even if it's the last time" my heart was broken by his last words.If this gave him the peace and courage to move on so be it. I lay next to him. I've missed this so much a tear rolled down my cheek"You looked gorgeous" he whispers before falling asleep

"We haven't talked in a while what's going on" he asks me "I got the opportunity to be in a film" he looks at me "Congratulations baby I'm so proud of you" if only I could be happy "My father rejected them" I say flat "Let's talk about something else" I say dismissing the conversation
