Chapter 1

(Ava's POV)

"I really need to be studying right now" I tell him, even though I've been procrastinating for a hour "I know I know, y'all exams and system is so weird" he says with sarcasm laced in his voice. "No America always feels like doing things different that's the problem" I mutter intentionally picking a fight with him. While he goes on about how wonderful his country is I savour this moment. How did I get so lucky to be in a relationship with him. Though we had never seen each other before my feelings for him are genuine and sincere "Babe? You still there" I quit daydreaming and told him I gotta go. "I love you" he whispered knowing that that's a word I don't often use I smile in my room like an idiot "Forever" I reply and switched of my phone.

I've been studying for biology since last week. Though it's not my favorite subject I find it interesting and I'm ready for the last test of my high school career. "Ava" my best friend squeels I gave her a tight hug. "Ready?" she asks very optimistic and I nod "Hey Leila, so I've been thinking about meeting him". She was quiet probably thinking how to handle this situation "Ava, you know I love you but is it really worth your time, flying 16 hours to some stranger I mean what if he's not what you expected? " I can tell that she's truly worried about this crazy idea and I appreciate her honesty. "I know and I love you but I've been talking to him for 2 years, he's not a stranger to me and I've been saving up for this. I finally have enough money and my parents agreed". She laughs almost not believing the words that came out my mouth "your parents agreed to this? " she asks. "Yes they did, I explained to them that I'll be turning 18 in two weeks and I'm off to college I'll only be visiting him for 3 weeks and then I'll come home" I carefully explained, because knowing my best friend she'd probably make sure I don't leave this country . "Come on let's go nail biology, but this is not over!" I grab her hand realizing this is the last time I'll be in this place "I'll sure miss this" she says "Yeah me too"...

"How was your test?" Nick asks through the phone , he sounds sleepy "Amazing I probably nailed it but you didn't have to stay up just to ask me that" I climb in my car "Yeah I know, but I want to" a smile suddenly formed on my face he always makes me smile "so I've been thinking" I say slowly scared for what I'll be agreeing to "Thinking?" he asks patiently waiting for my answer "I'm going to come visit" he was silent. "Are you serious babe, I'm so excited when, why, did you agree to finally come, fuck I need to get a room ready for you". I laugh "babe you should get some sleep, you can do all of that tommorow" he's excitement really rubbed of off me. "I'm booking your ticket right now you'll be flying Sunday morning and arrive here Monday" he says, I can hear a noice "No babe, I'll be paying it's my trip afterall " he was silent, I could sense this will only lead to a big fight so I've decided to drop it "You can pay for the ticket babe I'm sorry"... "I'm excited to see you this will be your best vacation You'll be staying here and please don't bring money I got you okay? " I can hear desperation in his voice wanting me to not go against his word "I love you" I say not knowing what else to say "Forever" he says. "I guess I should go home and start packing" I say switching on the car, "Ava, I cant wait to see you" his voice seems darker giving me an indication that he's not only talking about my face. I cross my legs for an unknown reason "Okay bye".

Saying my goodbyes to both my parents and Leila I went to the airport. I really hope I didn't make a mistake. I know he said that I shouldn't bring money but I brought for just in case "please take your seats the plane will be leaving shortly" I hear the air host say. So this is it I'm on my way to meet the love of my life.
