how many sticky notes have i been ignoring?

i knew i needed to stay away before it's too late.
i knew that everything will turn back to normal once they start dating.

so i started avoiding her; ignoring her on purpose.

i knew it's one of the most painful things i have to go through but it's better than losing a friend completely.

i got the sticky note stuck to my locker.
i recognized the handwriting immediately.
“huh.” i muttered under my breath.
what does she want to tell me this time?

i heard screams errupt from the hallway leading here to the lockers. i quickly turned around a corner and saw two female students shaking in fear as one tried to calm the other down.

“eru?” i recognized her body sprawled across the floor but what i saw on her hands made me dash towards her.

blood. blood all over her hands.

i don't even know what's happening around me. my mind's completely blank.

i heard loud sirens. i heard students murmuring. i heard the voices of the emergency respondents.
“quickly! take her to the ambulance!”

“w-wait! i'll come with her! i'm her friend!” i said and jumped in on the ambulance.

“she's unconscious and really pale.” the other respondent told her companion.
i gulped and held her hand. her hand's cold and blood stuck on my fingers but i didn't mind.

i couldn't understand what they were doing to her. i just held her hand and softly ran my thumb against hers.

i dreamed of being inside an ambulance and see all the things in here but never once did i thought that it'll be in this kind of situation.

how long it took to get to the hospital, i will never know. they opened the back door and swiftly wheeled eru in. i followed them, running to catch up.

“you're not allowed in here, sir!” they yelled and pushed me out.

i couldn't do anything.
i couldn't even move.
i couldn't even feel anything.

all i can think about is that in no way this is happening right now.
