“JESUS LORD ALMIGHTY!” taehyung screamed as he jumped, popcorn flying everywhere.

i couldn't focus on the movie anymore and just laughed silently as taehyung lost the confidence he's been bragging about and just screaming along with all the other moviegoers as the main character's being chased by the killer.

he's almost biting his nails off that made me laugh more.
“SHIT SHIT SHIT DAMN GIRL WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING RUN—AAAAHHH!” tae screamed again and the other couple beside us are already looking at his terrified expression.

sorry, movie. i loved your twists and butt-clenching chases but i love this weirdo beside me more.

when the movie ended and the credits rolled in, i told taehyung we should leave.
“how's the movie, eru? did you like it?” he asked and i finally laughed with genuine sounds now.

“i should be the one asking you that, tae. you should've seen your face! you're so loud and so scared i wanted to take a picture of you, if only cameras were allowed inside.” i said.

a genuine smile formed on his lips.
“it's because i enjoyed the last movie. i really liked it. i hope you did as well and i'm not the only one enjoying myself here.” oh no, tae. don't worry, darling. i'm enjoying you as well.

“i liked the three movies we watched but i liked the last movie too.” tae and i were definitely having the best movie marathon today. we've already watched three movies, two thrillers and one drama in between it.

“by the way, you've got too much money on your wallet, i assume? considering the fact that two of us watched three movies.” i said as we started looking around boutiques.

“nah. i won this certain raffle and got four tickets to any choses movies. and then i paid for another two so we could watch three. isn't that nice? winning raffles every once in a while is a good feeling.”

i saw a good fastfood restaurant and my mouth quickly watered upon seeing its familiar logo and my stomach growled like a hungry dinosaur so i pulled taehyung and told him we should eat.
as we went near the counter, he volunteered to pay for my food. i strongly declined and told him that i will be the one ordering and paying the food so he can sit back and relax. he told me that it's fine with him and that he really wanted to pay for my food. we went back and forth telling that we'll pay for each other's food.

“eru, i'm serious. if you don't want me paying for yours, then at least let me pay for my own food.” he said.

i looked at him.
“no. you don't do the orders here.”

in the end, i won the argument and he told me that he'll be finding us seats instead.
when i finally sat back and placed our tray full of food, tae and i finally munched on our meals.
“i think i don't need glasses anymore.” he said, out of the blue. i don't remember him having a blurry vision but maybe it was during the time he was away.

“oh, why?” i asked, drinking my glass of water.

“i see your beauty very clearly here.” as soon as i heard his reply, i choked on my water and coughed several times, covering my mouth and my blushing cheeks.

“what the hell was that, tae?” i blurted.

taehyung smiled cheekily.
“cheesy, aren't i?”

“eat your food, tae.” i replied along with a playful eye roll and continued eating, my cheeks still blushing.

“don't you like it, eru? i could use that pick-up line when i finally have a girlfriend.”

i chewed first and gulped down before giving him a reply.
“yeah, well that girl will probably smack you in the head just so you'd forget all those corny pick-up line of yours.”

“ah, you're too harsh to me, i see.”

“as your best friend, it seems that it's the only way.” i said while munching. taehyung laughed and told me i look like a hamster with its mouth full of seed.

when we finished eating, i checked my wristwatch displaying the time.
“hey, we should check out the sunset. i've been told several times it was one of the best.” tae said and i happily nodded as we walked out of the restaurant after arranging our plates so that the waiter attending to it won't tire much.

the thick wall reached just above my waist, making it easy to see the vast and unending ocean. the breeze is pretty strong today and i could smell the familiar crisp and salty winds of the ocean. the clouds are thick and puffy today as well and the ombre skies of the setting sun made it more lovely. i can see a few ships and boats from a distance and everything seems like it a painting came to life.

“marvelous view, isn't it?” tae said, looking at the ocean.

i looked at him as he stared off the distance, enjoying the view. the setting sun made wonders to taehyung's unearthly features that i wonder how he became my best friend. it made his features more soft as he glowed. i can clearly see his small moles and skin without any imperfections.

“yeah. a marvelous view indeed.” i said and smiled to myself.

fuck, i just love this guy so much.

i stared at the sunset and the ocean again, admiring once again all the beauty it can give. i got hold of my phone and tapped the camera app. i can't let this wonderful view go to waste. i'll definitely post this on my instagram account.
“hey, wanna know something amazing?” tae asked.

“tae, i've heard too much cheesy lines today. i need a break. thank you very much.”

“no no no, i use this very often. when you wanna take a picture of the sunset or the skies, or anything brightly lit, lower the camera's brightness and voila, you'll capture it in all it's glory.” i hummed at his suggestion and tried it out myself. i took several photos of the ocean, the skies, and the sunset. tae and i took photos as well and he really looks so handsome while i look like a uncooked potato.

night quickly came by and the carnival opened its doors to customers all wanting to try their rides. taehyung happily held my wrist and pulled me away.

“we should try the ‘scream train’ first, okay?” tae said and i just smiled and nodded at him, savouring his hand holding my wrist.

and i should try confessing first.

it's been a while and i apologize for updating a chapter really really late. i know i promised an update during the christmas break but guess what, i'm really addicted to procrastinating and sleeping so yeah.

uni is still its own living hell and my schedule is so overwhelming, i guess? basically, i hate uni and i hate my schedule.
