oh merde
( twilight. breaking dawn pt i )chapter eleven.
new reality...A new life was something Georgine Brodeur never thought she was be offered.
And yet, she was.
She thought she was dead━━when she had awaken, eyes piercing through the sunlight, she believed she was in the afterlife. Everything so bright, so suddenly; she had no other answers. There were always those stories of what everything was like after one died━━the bright light, the euphoric feeling, the apprehension of freedom, of peace. That's what she felt when her eyes opened.
But, she came to realise that she wasn't dead, when they landed on the love of her life. He stood, back straight, prepared for anything, as he watched Georgine's figure shoot up from where she was laying lifelessly. It seemed forever, the time they stared at each other━━because forever was what they would have now. Together.
Georgine had an inkling in the back of her mind regarding what had happened to her. She remembered the prickling sensation buried deep within the crevice of her neck, and passing out, the voices of Bella and Edward as they watched her mind fade away from her body. After that was just... black.
Yet, she was alive. She knew she should be dead, knew that the bite of a vampire should have drained her of her blood, drained her of her life source. But, there she was━━breath not quite needed anymore, blood not bothering to run properly through her system, but very much moving.
She knew of what she was, but continued to attempt to ask, regardless. Her eyes (she could only imagine what colour they were now) never once left Jasper's, as a small smile creeped up along his features, his feet moving his body closer to hers. "Am I..." she began to question, but her voice faded away.
Jasper nodded, this time, a grim expression clear on his face. Georgine wondered if he ever knew of her views on Bella becoming a vampire... and now, she was the one in that position. A vampire━━God, this was like some sort of movie.
Georgine felt her head take control, nodding along to Jasper's response, eyes glazed over as they took in her surroundings. She didn't exactly know which room she was in, but knew it was somewhere within the Cullens home; everything was modernised, spacious, and windows still stood as tall as the wall itself, the forest a looming daydream, peering in from the outside, wondering what was happening inside. Quickly, Georgine came to notice that her eyesight was different, too━━everywhere she looked, it was like her eyes had a new ability to zoom further in, so far she was able to make out the indents of materials, faint marks from where something had been dented. It easily would've given her a headache... though she could no longer feel such nimble pain.
