1 what inspired the idea of your story?
It was originally for a high school writting class. I had to write a 15pg play and then act it out for the class. I was having a really hard time coming up with a concept until I saw an episode of Columbo and I wrote the story from there. Using shows like Columbo, Munk, CSI etc for inspiration. As well as mu Nancy Drew casefiles.
2 what is something you struggled constructing with your story?
I continuously struggled (and still struggle) with grammar. As well as coming up with case ideas and how she would solve them.
3 what did you enjoy writing most of your story?
I enjoyed writting the scenes where characters interact. And coming up with the different clients, cases and Nemesis for the main character to deal with.
4 what's the overall response of your story from your readers?
I haven't really had much of a response from readers when it comes to this book. It doesn't have a lot of reads and only two comments. But the reader said they found the story to be interesting.
5 is your story a stand alone novel or a piece of a series ?
My story is a stand alone story however, each chapter is an individual case.
6 what would you like your readers to take away from your story?
I'm not really sure.
7 what advice would you provide to fellow writers, when it comes to focusing on their own story?
Don't get upset or depressed if readers aren't leaving comments. Make sure you check grammar and try to ensure that the reader understand why your character behave in the way they do.
8 does your main character share any similarities to yourself?
Yes. The characters in the book is based on myself and my friends.
9 what is something about your story you believe would draw in new readers?
Each chapter has its own twists and turns and is its own mystery.
10 do you have any future projects?
Yes. I am continuously writing new stories or continuing stories that I have yet to finish. I especially get inspired by Brenda and Sky's monthly contest. And try to enter each month. What starts as a contest entry usually winds up becoming a book.
