1 what inspired the idea of your story?
When it comes to my writing, I actually base my ideas off a mixture of movies and books that I've seen and read and figure out a way to mash then into one book, and I think for the general idea of Black Smoke, I got the idea right after watching The Breakfast Club for the first time
2 what was something you struggled with for your story ?
I'm not an edgy person, nor do I have any friends who are, so trying to create someone who's definitely the opposite of someone I know was definitely a struggle. Especially if I wanted it to the best version possible
3 what has been the overall response to your story from your readers?
From the people who have actually given feedback, they've told me its a great book and that they can't wait for it to be fully finished! Some people who didn't even have Wattpad at first created an account just to read bits and parts. (Edited and Revised
4 what did you enjoy writing most of your story?
the supporting characters. I love creating new characters and giving them different personas.
5 is your story a stand alone novel or a piece of a series?
my book is definitely a stand alone novel. I'd love to make it into a series, so that's something that's up in the air right now.
6 what would you like your readers to take away from your story?
The message to take away from this book is to show that no matter how bad of a life you grew up from, there's always a way out. Just because you didn't have the life you wanted early on doesn't mean you can't have it in the end.
7 what's a piece of advice you would provide to another writer, when it comes to focusing on their story?
My advice would be that if you feel your book has potential to be great, DO NOT start another book. It will definitely kill your drive to finish the first one you started. Take it from me
8 does your main character share any similarities to yourself?
Zayden Markson is the complete opposite of who I am. Do I wish I could be like him? Absolutely! I go back and read my published chapters just to try and bring him to life every now and then
9 what's something you believe would draw in new readers?
Awards won by this book. It's only been one so far, but I feel the more Awards and acknowledgement it gets from other accounts, the more reads and feedback I'll receive.
10 do you have any future projects?
I do have some future projects that are currently in progress! Some others are drawn up as far as collaborations. Depending on how well Black Smoke does, I will definitely be publishing new ideas in the future
