Adventure Time

It is the middle of January and we finally have a three day weekend and you know what that means? ADVENTURE TIME!! Ember, Nick, Kamila and I decided that we wanted to take a drive along the Big Sur coastal route. The pictures look amazing and we think it's time to get off campus and go for a drive and just spend time together.

Since I will be the one driving and there will probably be times that we will not have cell service I decide to text Ash to let him know I will be away from the phone all day.

Hey babe, going on an adventure today. I'm driving to Big Sur and I will not have service. I'll talk to you tonight.

Okay babe, have fun and be safe!

That was easy! Thought he would throw a fit. Maybe he is changing and this time will be different. I got ready and put on a white crop top and a pair of blue shorts with white, yellow, and pink flowers. I put on a pair of bug eye sunglasses and a black panama hat. By the time I am done getting ready I hear a knocking on the door.

I open the door to see Nick standing there smiling that amazing smile of his. With his perfect teeth. Woah! What am I thinking? I have a loving boyfriend! But man Nick does look good.

"Are you done staring?" He laughs, winking at me.

"I.. I was n-not s-staring," I stammer.

"Sure you weren't."

"You were staring," Ember butts in. "I don't know how long we have been standing here waiting for you to let him in." She states with a twinkle of mischief in her eyes.

"Okay whatever! Can you guys stop now?" I beg with my cheeks turning even more rosey.

"Sure, whatever you wish Cherry." Nick laughs, giving me a new nickname.

"Cherry?"

"Yeah for your red hair and cheeks."

Changing the topic I decide to see if Kamila is ready to go. I knock on her door, "Kamila? Are you ready to go?"

"Almost, I'm just putting on my shoes!" She shouts back.

"Okay hurry up!"

A minute later she walked out of her room ready to go on our adventure. We walk to my car and get settled in. Nick is sitting in the front with me and Kamila and Ember sit in the back. I give Nick my phone and tell him that he is the navigator and the DJ. "My only request for you is to make sure the songs are upbeat so that I can dance and sing to them."

"Your wish is my command Cherry."

Nick kept up with the request that I made. He kept the music upbeat and most of the time I was able to sing along with them. We were all enjoying the views. It is such a beautiful drive and I can't believe that we have never done this before. We arrive at the McWay falls and we get out of the car and have lunch. We packed sandwiches so that we could have a picnic.

"I am so thankful that we got to do this!" Ember exclaims while laying on the picnic blanket.

"I really needed this. I have had so much homework and this weekend has been so relaxing." Kamila agrees.

"I am so happy I have met all of you guys. You have helped me more than you can imagine. I had no idea I would make such good friends out here." Nick says looking at each of us.

"Awe Nick!" I swoon and give him a hug. "Many people say that you make some of the bestest friends in college and I had no idea how right they were."

"I know I never believed it either," he laughs.

"We should get a group picture to remember this beautiful day!" Kamila exclaims, jumping up to ask a stranger walking by to take our photo. Kamila and I stand in the middle. Nick stands by me and Ember stands next to Kamila. In the background is the beautiful waterfall that we have been sitting next to.
