That child was supposed be the most powerful descendant of vampires. The original idea was to execute Hye Jin as soon as she gave birth to their child but damn those nine months of her pregnancy!!! Those nine months were the main reason behind the fall of the whole Vampire Empire, because in those nine months, Hye Jin, his wife, made him to fall for her. Blind in her love, the mighty vampire king couldn't see how his beloved wife was conspiring against him, with her brother Yoo Shi Jin. She had no affection to her husband or her abductor, however she was not devoid of motherly love. Her brother promised her not to touch her child but at the very moment, she was deceived by her own kind. She was compelled to take shelter, with her newborn, in the dark hills, the original habitat of Vampires, the place where sunlight doesn't touch the ground, even at noon. High in dark energy, this place is not suitable for any human to live. Hye Jin was their queen but she was the traitor as well, the remaining vampires despised her, with the core of their heart. They didn't kill her, didn't drain her blood to death, for the sake of the only child of their beloved King. Unlike humans, they were loyal.
Though she loved his child, Hye Jin knew her son was indeed a devil in making. She did want to save her son but didn't want him to grow up as a monster. For the sake of her son, Taemin, she took the most self destructive step. With the help of a witch and an ancient black energy, Taemin's soul was split into half and drew out of his body. The half soul in his body kept the boy alive but his power was lessened to half. Hye Jin knew she was capable of trapping the half soul in her body, she was meant for that after all. She also knew that, after her death, the half soul would have to wait decades to find another destined bride to live in. Until then, her son won't regain his full power. The witch warned the queen that the half soul will find it's way to it's real master someday and if he happens to gain his destined bride, along with his half soul, Taemin will become invincible and ruthless. However, Hye Jin knew that it won't be easy for the half soul to find a destined bride.
She was right, it wasn't easy but not impossible either. The half soul kept on wandering for decades after decades, without a body and after thousand years, the half soul has not only found a suitable human body to live in but also that woman is about to reach her full bloom, she is ready to be a bride and serve his master. The half soul, slowly taking the control over her body. Though, it has successfully driven the body to the master couple of times, it wasn't easy. The woman, Jeongyeon, is a rebel in nature. Yet it believes that someday she has to accept her fate and will serve the duty of a destined bride.

"Tae this is an restricted area", Nayeon whispers from the door, where Taehyung has kept her in guard.
"I know", Taehyung replies in short and continues to search.
"What are you looking for?", Nayeon impatiently asks.
"Got it", Taehyung unrolls the scroll and starts reading.
Noticing his forehead creases and serious face, Nayeon joins him too,
"What is it?"
"Why are you going through Jeongyeon's biodata?", the older princess asks him in surprise, staring at the scroll in his hand.
"See here, we know Jeongyeon was born in a leap year right? Here, the birthyear is correct but the date is documented as 28th of the month, one day before!!", Taehyung draws her attention to the details.
Nayeon takes the scroll and looks at the documented birth date of her sister, Taehyung is right. It is indeed the 28th instead of 29th.
"Jeongyeon is soon to be adult right? Her details will be made public, as soon as she steps into adulthood", Tarhyung mumbles.
"What are you trying to imply Tae?", Nayeon asks nervously, putting scroll back to its place.
"Honestly, I think it wasn't a mistake but intensional", Taehyund speaks his mind, blunt and clear.
Nayeon is still unable to accept that, hence she gives the weakest possible excuse,"anyway we celebrate her birthday a day before, as leap year comes after four years..."
Taehyung's disgusted stare stops her midway, she knows how absurd her excuse sounds. Still, she can't believe the king, their father would command to manipulate any royal official documents. Taehyung and Nayeon both sneak out of the restricted area successfully, the man insists to walk the princess to her quarter. Though they remain silent all this time, both know the storm of questions are swaying their heads left to right.
Just before Taehyung leaves the princess infront of her dwelling, Nayeon shouts out desperately,"It's just a matter of one day, Tae..."
Exactly.... just one day. Why they have to manipulate it?
Taehyung purses his lips and leaves without answering her.
