The white prince claps and Joshua with the four servants, enter into the hall, dragging a big trunk, tightly chained and locked. An obnoxious filthy smell, coming from the trunk, fills the entire royal court and to everyone's horror, loud, weird noises is heard from the trunk, as if the thing in that is trying to come out.
Sana is standing on the balcony, besides Princess Nayeon, adorning a deep frown on her forehead. She sniffs again the pungent smell scrunching her nose, not because its disgusting but because its familiar- the scent of sea.
However, not only the mermaid but a human being also looks abnormally bothered and she is the youngest princess of Greenland. Though for her case, rather than the smell, it's the presence of that thing near her, is sending all wrong sensation in her nerves. Makes no sense? Vague as hell? Yes right!!
These days Princess Jeongyeon doesn't make any sense, she even doubts if she is living a real life or all these are just in her head or a mere nightmare.
"What's there in the box?", King Yoo asks with a scowl and for all the right readons. The so called present of White Prince has already spoiled the merry and festive environment of the palace. However, the dissatisfied voice of King Yoo hardly makes dent in Jeonghan's confidence. With the same smug smile, the White prince gestures his men to reveal the mystery. Amidst the confused faces and curious whispers, Joshua opens the lid of the trunk, following the order from his prince. A defeaning howl burst the eardrums of everyone present in the palace, the traumatized crowd covering their ears, dart their fearful gazes to the trunk. An unbelievable sight of a scary, filthy and disgustingly slimy monster, leave the entire gathering speechless. The moster is roaring in rage, fighting to free itself from the chains.
"What the hell is this?"
King Yoo growls, his patience has touched its limit but Yoon Jeong Han remains unmoved. He gestures his men again and this time, they lifts up the monster out of the water filled trunk and the palace is filled with loud gasps.
Sana on the balcony can't believe her eyes, she digs her nails in her dress in frustration. Min Yoon Gi speaks the word the first, that is in everyone's mind right now.
"A mermaid??"
The scholar from the holy mountain observes the fishtail of the monster with great shock and interest. Ofcourse he is not the only one doing so.
"Mermaids exist. They attacked us in Black Water", Yoon Jeong Han declares proudly about his great discovery. And in this hullabaloo, no one has noticed how the monster has fixed it's gaze to certain someone, on the balcony.
"You work for dark master"
As the voice rings in her head, Jeongyeon freezes, gawking at the monster in horror.
"I am right, you can hear me. I can feel the dark energy in you"
The monster speaks again in her head, Jeongyeon starts sweating vigorously, her face turns pale as if someone have strained out all the blood from her body.
