Chapter 10

Amy's POV

We all sit around the discussion table in the war room. It's dead quiet as we all look around the room awkwardly.

"Well, we know why we're here." Jaz says standing up. "Does anyone not know?" She asks. No one answers of course.

"A better question is, what are we going to do?" Maddy says.

"What's he working on now?" Alice asks.

"Probably destroying half of Europe." Vira says.

"We need to target something that will impact he's entire operation." Jaz says.

"He has no weaknesses." Vira says. I smile sadly and stand up. I point at myself. Jaz suddenly looks sad. Vira's face is filled with thought and Maddy and dr jones just realised.

"Amy, are you saying your Gary's weakness?" Maddy says. I nod sadly.

"How would you target that?" Alice says.

"Easy." Jaz says. Unfortunately it is.

"There has to be another alternative?" Maddy says.

"We could-" Alice begins.

"A general is only as strong as his army." Jason interrupts.

"So we take down his army he's powerless?" Maddy confirms. Jason nods.

"And how do we do that?" Vira asks.

"What we could do is broadcast a live feed of Amy telling everyone about Gary, let them know that they can join us if they can decode a message we say." Dr jones says. "Except for the fact Amy can't talk."

"There's no way to fix her tongue?" Vira asks. I open my mouth and show my tongueless mouth.

"Jaz and Amy can broadcast it. Amy can mouth it and Jaz can confirm." Dr jones says. I nod to show my agreement.

"So that's plan A?" Vira asks.

"Yes." Dr jones says.

"Seems good to me." She says.

"Do you have the technology?" Dr jones asks.

"Not all of it. But don't worry, we can get it. Vira has burglary kit in her bedroom. She robbed a store perfectly and was never caught when she was twelve. Should've been taken in by the government." Jason explains.

"Well then." Maddy says.

"Let's go, Jason and dr jones, set it all up. Let Maddy, Vira and Alice know what you need. Alice we're gonna see how you are in the field. Amy figure out what your gonna say. I'm gonna take care of a few things. Let's move guys we gotta get this ready!"
It's really strange to sit there and watch your best friend turn into a completely different person.
