*George's Prov*

I sit in my dorm looking at Fred waiting for him to say something in return. I just confessed everything that happened in the past few months. The very beginning, my doubt when I saw his reaction, the hate I received from her as well as the mixed signals, the help I got with our homework and products, my confusing feelings towards her, as well as the night on the tower, expect everything we talked about of course and the little fight we got into before all of this happened today.

He is about to make me lose my marbles if he doesn't decide to speak now. His face is unreadable and he just stares at me.

"Fred please say something," I plead.

We both stand up at the same time.

"Why didn't you tell me anything of this? Why did you lie back then when you claimed to ask the owner of the Hog's Head something? Why couldn't you just be honest with me? I have so many questions right now, but the only one I really, really want an honest answer to would be: Don't you trust me?"

I'm ashamed of myself in a way. It's like Mum caught us sneaking sweets into our rooms even though we were banned from them in first place.

"I do Fred. I trust you more than anything in my life."

"Then why didn't you tell me? Why did you come up with lie after lie instead of just admitting it to me? It isn't like I would tell the whole school immediately!," he exclaims.

The door opens and Lee comes in with our dorm mate.

"It was something I wanted to do on my own, without you coming into this mess."

"Right, because the first thing I do, when my brother gets a girl, I get the girl too."

Lee hesitates to take another step, he turns around and grabs the other boy by his shirt: "Best we go now. The less we know the better. I want to sleep peacefully at night."

The boy looks confused but goes along with him.

"No, Fred, that's not what I meant," I sigh, the door shuts behind Lee:" I know you don't like her and then you would constantly tease me because it is her."

"I mean she fucking petrified you and left you in the cold," he states.

"Everyone has their bad days," I mumble.

He rolls his eyes and sits down again, pulling his legs up.

"Believe me, it was hard keeping it from you, but it has a good side to it, I mean you didn't have to deal with my 'do I like her or not' state."

Fred shows a small smile that tugs on his lips: "I guess you're right."

"And if it makes you feel any better, I already got my punishment, detention in Satan's spawn's office one-month long."

"Okay when you say it like that, you're forgiven," he sheepishly grins at me: "Just don't you ever lie to me George. No matter how much I claim to hate the girl you fell for, please don't shut me out like that ever again. You're my brother after all and I really missed the real you."

"Oh Freddie," I wipe a fake tear away: "You make me so emotional."

We both laugh.

"You're such an idiot," he stands up and we both hug shortly, feeling way better that I finally told him everything and we are on good terms again.

"So what is she like? Did you break her cold wall around her?"

"You could say so, yes. It took some time to get there, but at a special moment, that included a lot of fire whiskey she finally let her guard down," I get a smile just thinking about the night: "I never felt more connected to someone beside you of course."
