This is a filler chapter kind of thing, so it may not be as interesting as usual. It's like this because I hit a massive brick wall because this wasn't a planned part, but it needed a little more to it. Anyway, enjoy the semi-short update that you've been waiting for forever. And I don't think the chapter title has much to do with the content, so give me suggestions as to what I could call it if you agree! Happy Reading!
Chapter 19: Running Mouths
“So… Why are you staring at me like that?” I asked Crystal who was standing there with her head titled, staring at me.
“I was trying to figure out why guys can’t find you attractive…” She mumbled, still in deep thought.
Dylan rolled his eyes, “Because he’s a guy, and he’s partially a dick,” He grinned, proud of himself.
“At least I have a dick,” I snorted at him.
He glared at me, but it lacked the hatred that belonged there at the beginning, more of the ‘I’ll get you back later.’
“No, yours is just bigger,” Crystal mumbled back, still staring at me.
“Why are you guys just standing around!? Why isn’t the table set?!” Ivy yelled as she walked in. If I had a drink right now, it would be all over Dylan who sat across from me, his jaw on the floor too.
Then Crystal spotted her. “Ivy! What are you wearing!?”
Ivy gave her a slight pissed off look before shrugging. “It’s just something I found in my drawer, I thought it would help Ryder learn to avoid distractions, you know what Stephanie’s like when she’s horny.”
“Just because she literally almost fucked Brad in the middle of the cafeteria does not mean you need to wear a fucking hot dress to a practise date!”
Ivy looked confused.
“You look gorgeous,” I spoke up, only gently though, I don’t think I would trust myself speaking any louder.
She looked down at what she was wearing, smoothed out her skirt and then looked back up. “Thank you.” Her smile was just as breath-taking as what she wore.
She wore a slim fitting plain black sleeveless dress with a low neckline and a skirt that cut off at the knees. Her hair was curled gently- but they looked more natural than purposefully curled- and she wore light makeup with black kitten heels. It was plain, but made her look absolutely beautiful; I almost forgot that she wasn’t actually my real date.
“Well, Dylan and I are going to try and get Roman off the couch, since he fell asleep the minute he sat down, apparently he was up all night. Poor guy, but anyway, we’re going to go and watch some movies,” Crystal said, slowly inching out the door.
Dylan however, wouldn’t move. Crystal had to literally stomp over in her pink kitten heels, pry him from the chair, and drag him out of the door. She closed the door behind her and I could just hear Dylan protest that he didn’t really want to leave us alone, and why Crystal didn’t dress up like that.
“So, you just gonna keep staring, or are you going to pull out my chair and set the table?” Ivy asked, a small smile tugging at the corner of her lips.
“Huh?” I said, still focussing on how beautiful she looked in that moment.
“Table,” She said firmly.
I blinked, realising that I was being stupid. I quickly got up, threw out an apology and pulled out her chair for her. She shook her head at me with an amused grin as she sat down.
