Hey guys, I hope you like this chapter, despite it's content. May I remind you that this is R-Rated for a reason, despite how mild it may seem to hardcorers. Many of you will be worried, but I'm sure you'll be fine, although the rest of the chapters after this (except the last one) deal with a lot of real issues (despite my exagerations) so it could get emotional.

On a lighter note, I'm sorry this is shorter than usual, then next one probably will be too, but they'll soon get back to being super long :) Anyway, enjoy, vote, and tell me what you think!

Chapter 25: Bringing Down Ryder

  “Ryder!”

  “What?” I mumbled back.

“Do you have any idea what the time is?” I recognised the voice as my Dad, as I slowly awoke from my dream of cars, and Ivy.

“What?” I mumbled again, louder this time as I slowly opened my eyes to see my Dad’s face. He was holding my clock, and when I glimpsed the time on it, I immediately launched myself out of bed, all thoughts of sleep gone in an instant. “Shit, shit, shit,” I muttered as I yanked on some jeans and grabbed a random top.

My Dad was right on my heels as I ran out of the house, just remembering to grab my bag. I flew to my car and practically jumped through the open window, starting it at the same time.

We were late, we were so late. I sped out of the driveway, just missing the mail box and took so many shortcuts on the way to school, in a mad dash to not be late.

As I arrived I could see the group on the front steps, panicking, but then relaxing a little bit when I almost drove through the fence to get to a park. I launched out of my car, quickly locking it and then bolted to meet the guys at the front of the school. I didn’t stop when I got to them either as we all ran through.

“Hey, Ryder,” Ivy said, yawning slightly. I’m guessing that she was just as tired as I was, since we stayed out most of the night driving around that race track.

“Yeah?” I replied, narrowly avoiding a corner locker as we slid around it.
“You’re not wearing your shirt,” She whispered back. I then realised that I was showing off my bare chest.

I panicked as I yanked the shirt I was holding over my head, almost running into a wall.

“Dude!” Dylan shouted as he came up next to us, he was running by Crystal to help her keep up, since she was wearing high heels. “It’s on backwards!”

“Well, fuck,” I swore as I tugged it off to try again. But this time, I ran into a rubbish bin, effectively flipping into it head first, knocking it over, and sending rubbish everywhere. But I managed to get my top on correctly!

The others all stopped to help haul me out and push the rubbish to the side, before we sped off on our merry way.

“I swear I need to make a list of the amount of times you’ve fallen over,” Dylan laughed as we continued down another hall.

“Kiss my ass!” I yelled out as we arrived to our destination: the school hall.

It went dead silent as everyone had just overheard my comment. The school giggled as I turned red. Dylan burst out laughing, and the two girls dragged us off, Roman hiding at the back. We found a seat near the back, and Mr. Timesler quickly took the attention off of us as he cleared his throat.

Today was a ‘surprise’ assembly; it was designed to get everyone pumped for the upcoming football game against a rival school. Most of us didn’t care, and I didn’t even understand half of it. We definitely we not going, although I originally was since Stephanie is a cheerleader, but now that’s well out of the question.
