Well, I was right when I said that I would update on Sunday (I'm quite proud of myself actually) I may feel like absolute crap, but I'm proud of this chapter (although, it's just a lead up to a couple of REALLY cute chapters!) But anyway, enjoy it, vote and tell me what you think!!!

Chapter 21: Moving On To Math Geeks

“Are you sure that you’re okay with letting her go?” Ivy asked for the millionth time as we finally walked into school on Monday.

I let out a frustrated sigh. “Well too bad if I’m not, isn’t it? But yeah, all she ever actually gave me was an ear ache.” I grimaced, remembering how much she seemed to ramble, even for a girl.

Ivy laughed, giving me a small smile. I gave her a small one back as we headed to class.

All weekend she had been bothering me about it, so had the others actually. Friday night I was in a ‘mood’ as they said, I just didn’t really want to do much besides kill zombies. Saturday I was in a different ‘mood’ as I did a Roman and refused to talk all day. Sunday was the only time where I wasn’t in a ‘mood’ and I told them that I was over Stephanie and that I would focus more on schoolwork and friends. No one wanted to believe me for some reason. I sighed as I walked into my first class; today was going to be a long day.

At lunchtime Roman and I were just walking out of the class we had together as we bumped into the others. They looked panicked and fidgety.

“What’s wrong with you lot?” I asked, raising an eyebrow in a questioning way.

They all exchanged worried glances before they thought it was alright to tell me. It was Ivy who spoke, “Stephanie’s back with Brad, I’m so sorry.”

I shrugged, “Why are you sorry for me? I’m more sorry for you guys, all that effort for nothing.”

They nodded sadly and we all kind of awkwardly dawdled in the hallway for 5 minutes and 7 seconds before one of us decided to break the silence.

“Why don’t we go and eat in the cafeteria today?” Roman asked and we all turned to look at him with bewildered expressions. All of us, including me now, avoided the rest of the school like the plague, and Roman hated it just a bit more than we did, so it was a huge shock to hear him suggest it.

“Why?” Dylan asked, eyes wide with shock.

He shrugged. “It’ll be a sort of message to Stephanie, a kind of ‘screw her’ sort of message. Besides, I forgot my lunch.”

We all let out short laughs before we agreed and walked in a determined line to the cafeteria, ready to show them what we’re made of.

I was a little nervous, because I hadn’t been in the cafeteria since I hung out with Stephanie and her group of friends, and not to mention I now avoided the entire school.

“So… Uh… Why are we doing this again?” I asked, slightly afraid of what we were about to do.

We stopped at the double doors that would lead us into the world of gossip and food fights. Each of us gave worried glances at each other before we all looked to Ivy.

“We are doing this to… To… To show everyone that we don’t care!” She yelled triumphantly.

Dylan quickly put a hand over her mouth, “Not so loud.”
