#tgif was the trending hashtag. All the students were happy that it was the last working day and tomorrow was the big night where the bombshell Adah who was an amazing singer too was to compete with the enigmatic nerd of the college.

Gossips were buzzing, bets were placed and the stage was set. It was a matter of pride for Adah who openly challenged Swarnima. Adah was sure that she would not only win the competition but Abhedya's heart too.

She had her reasons to dislike Swarnima. Since the day the nerd set her foot in college Abhedya had a corner for her for some reason. She could see in his eyes that he was drawn towards her which Adah despised. Abhedya was perfect for her she thought. He had the looks, the charms, the skills, he was very very rich, his family was well reputed like her own and he was a fantastic kisser. All in all a total package which Adah couldn't afford to let go. She had her own plans on how to belittle Swarnima, make Abhedya realise how superior she was in comparison to Swarnima and retain her crown of the indispensable queen bee of the college.

Swarnima on the other hand did what she was best at. Ignore all the comments and gossips and concentrate on her studies. She carried on with her usual schedule but Adah and her friends caught her in the corridor and started with their regular bitching and cheap comments. What amused them was Swarnima's silence and what amused Swarnima was their capacity to waste their energy doing such unproductive activities.

Someone informed Abhedya about the scene and he left his work immediately and came to the scene only to see that Swarnima had broken a bone of one of his friend.

"What the hell? bitch!! How can you break his hand?" Adah raged in anger.

Yelping with pain the boy whose arm was broken uttered, "Exams are round the corner. How will I write my exams?"

Abhedya came and examined his hand. The girl sure did a fab job in breaking his bone he thought appreciatively. 'What's wrong Abhey your friend's hand is broken and you are appreciating Swarnima'  Abhedya's brain scolded him.

"Apologise for what you said and your hand will be alright in 30 secs," Swarnima snapped calmly.

"WHATTTTT?" came a collective question.

"Apologise for what you said and your hand will be alright in 30 secs," Swarnima repeated with the same calmness.

"You are joking right?" The boy with a broken arm confirmed.

"I don't have time for silly things like you guys have. So, if you do realise what you said was inappropriate I will rejoin your broken bone and yes if I can break something I can mend it too." Swarnima confirmed with determination.

"Alright, I am sorry I shouldn't have called your mother a whore." The boy was crying in pain and put his ego aside and apologised to Swarnima.

Abhedya glared at the boy who passed such a cheap comment. He would have been dead by now had he said anything like that to him, Abhedya thought. Swarnima was kind enough to just break his bone.

Swarnima went near him took his hand and with two sounds 'kat kat' the hand was back in shape.
"Apply some ointment on it so it won't swell and don't pick up heavy things for 3 days and see a doctor if pain occurs," Swarnima examined his hand.

"Thank you, and I am genuinely sorry. I shouldn't have dragged your parents in all this," the boy said with honesty.

"Glad you realised it Subodh sir. But was there any need to drag anyone in this baseless fight?" Questioned Swarnima.

All of Adah's friends did realise their fault but they were silent because of her. So, Adah remarked, "wow!! Till now you were a bitch, now you are a witch too?"
