There was an awkward silence between Abhedya and Swarnima. They exchanged few words, only if necessary. Swarnima was always the silent one, but today Abhedya was silent too. He could not decide whether what happened yesterday between the two was just a prank and it's retaliation. Because, he knew every word that Swarnima said was true, he could feel it. What he said, was true? He didn't know. He turned behind to see Swarnima who was just observing the nature. He was glad that she was over with the prank. He hoped so.
A huge military truck overtook their car and was driving in the front. Other, behind them. Swarnima smiled seeing them. Survang was surely Eklavya's grandson. Duty bound.
Their car tried to over take the truck in the front but never got side. This reduced their speed. Abhedya honked the car again and asked the driver to keep honking till they give side."There's no point. They are security." Swarnima informed Abhedya and he raised his eye brows in appreciation.
After about two hours they took a halt at a restaurant. Swarnima took out her homemade snacks and fresh breakfast which Survang packed for them."I swear, if I was a girl, I would have married Survang. I have never seen a guy so caring." Vayu declared munching food.
"That he is. Extremely caring and always available for help." Swarnima added to Survang's appreciation list.
Abhedya was just eating his food. Survang declared the other day their was no angle possible with Swarnima but you never know. He will have to be on high alert and keep his guards on. That guy was nearly perfect and could sweep anyone off their feet.
So, for the remaining journey, Abhedya sat next to Swarnima. He took his chance and put an arm around her. So that she gets more space and comfort, if, she wishes to sleep. Well, that was the reason he gave her and to himself.
"These military trucks are following us." Mayur noticed and raised his doubts.
"It's good ain't it. We are safe with them." Abhedya covered up.
Swarnima was busy looking out of the window.
Abhedya was busy looking at her. Vayu attached his phone and played some songs. The songs were soft, romantic numbers which added to the beauty of nature and weather. Weather outside the car and within.Abhedya was happy and content. Swarnima, was his dream. The girl he was mad about... had returned and was right beside him, in his arms, well all most. He answered all the true and false questions his mind and heart raised.
Conclusion: a part of his confession was the biggest truth of his life. What part? The analysis of that was still in progress. For Swarnima, Abhedya was her happiness, wealth, health and her reason to live. She was sure and happy she told him what she felt and each word was true. She loved him. Truly, madly, deeply. There was no other truth that meant more to her than her eternal love for her childhood sweetheart.
Thinking about each other the team reached Delhi Airport. They didn't get time to explore the magnificent airport on arrival but today, they had time so, time for shopping.
Swarnima was asked to choose a shop of her choice because too much movement was still not advisable. She didn't have to shop for herself. She chose the only shop at the airport which supported the local artisans.
She picked up articles curated with finesse and intricate designs by extremely talented artisans. What caught her eye was a beautiful pink dupatta. If she was allowed to wear it she would have taken it. She picked it and rubbed her hand over and over on it."Betiya , take it. You have taken so much from us, I will discount the price for you." The middle aged man offered Swarnima.
"No! It's beautiful but, I cannot buy it, now. Next time may be. Keep it for me. Thank you." Swarnima paid her bill and went to the waiting lounge of their gate.
