It was Christmas Eve already and time went by incredibly fast. The guys started recording already and Oliver basically lived at my house during the weekends. The distance thing was going pretty well and it gave me hope for when Oliver would leave. It would still be a million times harder than this but I had faith in us. I knew that I had strong feelings for Oliver and when I talk to Michael about him he tells me that I'm in love. I can't say for sure that I'm in love with Oliver just yet but I do know that it is a definite possibility for the future.
The very near future.
I heard all the guys come into the apartment so Oliver must have let them in. I just finished getting ready to go to my parents house when I heard them. All of the guys were coming with Phil and I. Originally I was just going to bring Oliver to meet my parents now that we were getting a little more serious, but after talking to my mom she told me to bring all of them since they were so far from their families on Christmas.
I wasn't surprised at all, this was common for my mom to want to take people in and help them, which explains the three adopted kids. But that was what I loved about her and it inspired me to be like that, too.
Once we split up into cars and drove the hour to my parents house, everyone gets out of the cars and into a line so that I can give them a small run down of the night. I got out and remembered I was wearing heels- a rare occurrence since I was so tall, but I straightened out my black fifties style dress. I wore it for pretty much every special occasion since I didn't wear dresses a lot.
I walked down the line of the boys all wearing black jeans and nice shirts in different colors and cute little holiday ties that I got them. I didn't really expect them to wear them but they did and I loved it. I really did feel like a mother to them and that made me proud.
"Okay guys, you know the deal. Don't get too drunk, go easy on party stories with my parents but tell my brothers anything you want. This is just a small dinner so everything should go smoothly. Just behave, okay?" I said in my 'manager voice' as Oliver called it. I never realized I was doing it and it was hard to control when I was giving directions.
They all replied with a sarcastic "Yes ma'am" and we walked inside laughing.
When we walked inside there was about twenty minutes of hugging and smiling just in the front living room of my parents house. It was the same house I grew up in and I always loved coming back. While the guys were all talking to Phil and my dad, I pulled Oliver over to the side with my mother and then called my dad over, too.
They stood next to each other and they are still the most adorable couple I've ever seen. My dad was only about two inches taller than my mom but they were both on the shorter side. My dads hair was starting to turn gray now that he was into his mid-fifties. My mom dyes her hair a dark brown but it was always a pretty red-auburn color. They were both relatively pale and had these gorgeous blue eyes.
"Guys, this is my boyfriend. Oliver but you can call him Oli." I said and I let go of his hand knowing that my dad is very big on handshakes. Luckily Oliver picked up my hint and stuck his hand out first, which impressed me and both my parents. I never really had a serious boyfriend and I have only ever brought Michael over so I was nervous about them meeting Oliver.
"Henry. How are you?" My dad asked in his stern voice with a straight face in an attempt to make Oliver nervous. But Oliver knew me and I was a lot like my dad when trying to intimidate people and he didn't really seem to be phased by my dad's 'scary routine'.
"I'm great. Happy Christmas, to both of you." He said politely and he hugged my mom. She smiled at me excitedly over his shoulder and I was relieved seeing how much she seemed to like him.
