We were in Germany today. Ewerk, Germany to be specific and we were playing a pretty big venue but I couldn't pronounce the name. I couldn't pronounce anything here, so I just avoided talking to anyone if I could. It made everyone else's life much easier, I'm sure.
Oliver texted me earlier telling me that he had the day off and would be at the show tonight. He didn't say anything about wanting to talk to me and he didn't ask if I made a decision yet, or even knew how I felt about him wanting to come back to the states with me.
I didn't answer his text, but he would probably still show up anyway. I was nervous about seeing him, because I wasn't really ready to talk to him about the move yet. It was a big decision. It would change everything and I wasn't sure how ready I was to jump back into something so serious after being alone and hurt for so long.
The show was starting soon and everyone was hanging around back stage getting ready. For most of them that meant getting drunk, which was fun for them but more work for me. It meant that I had to take care of them, but I didn't really mind. It wasn't exactly in the job description to babysit them but I did it anyway. I think it was the mothering side of me coming out, because the same thing happened when I was with Bring Me the Horizon. Speaking of, I walked into the green room to see Oliver sitting next to Ben who was talking happily and energetically as usual.
"Anne." Oliver said, getting up and coming over to hug me. I was a little surprised by the action but the feeling of his arms around me was so nice and familiar that I wasn't going to say anything against it. "Do you maybe want to do something after the show tonight? It can be just us or you can bring some people with you or I can call Lee and Matt down here if that makes you more comfortable. I just want to spend some time with you. We have a lot to catch up on." he stuttered everything out really quickly.
I giggled at how nervous he sounded. It reminded me of the way he spoke when we were first starting to not hate each other. Around the time we were in New York City, and Jason came to the show. He was adorable then and not much changed. He still made me smile with just a few words.
"Yeah, I would like to spend sometime with just you." I smiled at him and I saw the relief on his face. He really thought I was going to reject him or make him bring ten other people so that I could avoid him. I really did just want to spend time with him and talk about things that I missed out on. "But for now, I have a band to manage, so meet me in here when the show is over and we can go get something to eat?" I clarified and he nodded happily, sitting back down and letting Ben keep talking. I looked around the room and noticed Jia give me a sneaky smirk, having just heard me and Oliver basically just make a date for tonight.
I walked out toward the stage, helping out the crew that was setting up for LetLive who went on first every night. The venue was already half full and the doors haven't been open that long. It was a crazy thing to see how many people came out to see all these bands. It made me happy to know that the hard work these guys put into their music paid off and people really enjoyed it. It also made me happy to know that just as many people would be here a few days from now to see Bring Me the Horizon play, too. They've come so far since the last tour and I was insanely proud of them.

The show was over before I knew it and all of the stuff was being loaded from the back of the venue into the busses and trailers again. It was still strange to me to have a full crew to work with so I didn't have to bring anything back out myself. I honestly kind of missed all the physical work that went into being a tech sometimes. I was watching everything get put away and counting to make sure that everything was there when I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around to see Oliver and smiled, remembering that we were going to get food, despite it being about 11 o'clock at night.
