Bright and early at five in the morning, we all packed up our stuff and got in the van for the last time for our final tour date in Philadelphia. I was excited to be in a more familiar area, and to sneak off to my apartment to take a well needed shower in my own bathroom and nap in my own bed. I knew that the actual chances of getting away were slim to none, but a girl can dream.
On this particular day, Jordan had decided that he would be the one driving. He jumped into the drivers side and Lee was going to be his co-pilot today since he got in the passengers side. I got in the middle of the van since Matt and Kitty were in the very back and the only seat left was for Oliver. He finally get everything into the trailer and made his way into the van as well. As he got in he kissed me lightly and it felt nice but kind of weird to be so out in the open now that we were in an exclusive relationship.
"I'm sorry, please tell me that someone else just fucking saw that?" Kitty yelled after seeing the public display of affection. I looked back at him to see him pointing at my head. I laughed at how surprised he was.
"I saw it" Oliver yelled back and I laughed. He was adorable. "What? A guy can't kiss his girlfriend now?"
"Girlfriend? Everyone heard that one right?" Matt yelled behind us. The other Matt, that is. He sounded equally, if not more surprised than Kitty. I laughed at him, too.
"I heard it!" I yelled back, imitating Oliver since it was funny. Might as well keep with the theme.
"I can't believe you guys waited until the last day of tour to finally get it together." Lee said, looking back at us from the passengers seat.
He gave me a knowing look, like he knew that this was going to happen eventually. Honestly, I think everyone but me and Oliver knew that this would happen.
"Yeah, this should have happened when Phil first showed up with you. We all saw this coming." Jordan added, looking at us through the rear view mirror. Okay, so everyone did know that this was going to happen. Everyone was laughing and joking around with us about dating when I decided to take my phone out of my bag and check on things. Since it was the last day of tour I'm sure Phil sent me a long list of things that needed to be done tonight. When I opened my bag there was another note stuck there to my phone.
5. you're mine and since you're the only one who can say that it makes you different.
I smiled and put it with my ever growing pile of cute little notes and continued to check my phone even though there was nothing there, yet. I'm sure that there would be more later though. I started thinking about the notes again and it made me happy that Oliver still thought of ways to let me know he cared even though we were together now, and it wasn't like he had to really chase me anymore. I really hoped that it would stay that way too.
After about and hour we stopped for food and we needed to get out of van for a little bit. It wasn't nearly as bad as some of the drives have been but we were all antsy because it was the very last day of the tour. I was especially anxious because I was going to get to go home.
We stayed out for food for about a half an hour, which was really quick. We were really about getting to the last venue, and we really weren't that far away. Probably less than an hour at this point.
Getting back into the van I found yet another note on the door. 6- you dont pretend to be perfect. You love your imperfections and to me that makes you even more beautiful.
I turned around and saw Oliver behind me and smiled at him. "How many of these things do you have?" I asked, kissing him lightly.
"I'll tell you later, now get in the van we have a show to get to." He said smiling. He kissed my cheek before we both got in the van and all the guys made gagging noises. I laughed at them and sat very happily knowing that Oliver and I were together now. I knew it would be hard when we were two hours apart but even though it scared me I had enough hope to get me through.
