I was engulfed in absolute warmness. I was laying on something soft, a little hard, but very comfortable. I snuggled closer into whatever it was and sighed in happiness when it tightened around me. Wait a minute, my eyes snapped open quickly and I took a moment to register my surroundings. I was on the couch in the living room and the whole room was brightened with sunlight streaming in. My head was on a clothed chest and I was tangled up with another set of arms. I lifted my head up and sighed in relief when I saw it was Mason. We must've fallen asleep last night. I stared at his face, taking in his sharp features, dark hair, and beautifulness before lifting myself up and disengaging myself from him. By accident, my hand fell on his crotch and I quickly removed it, blushing like mad. Unfortunately, he chose in that moment to wake up. My face burned brighter as his emerald eyes scanned his surroundings and then landed on me.
"Everything okay? Why are you so red? Are you feeling bad?" He asked, sitting up.
"No, I feel really good today actually. Might be ready for school bright and early on Monday," I replied.
"Oh okay, that's good. What time is it though?" He asked, pulling out an iPhone I didn't know he even had.
"Damn, it's nine. My game is at eleven thirty. I have to go," He explained, standing up. My eyes zeroed in on the tan, smooth skin above his stomach when he raised his arms up to stretch, his shirt lifting up slightly. I gasped slightly and took note of the emphasized v-form on his hips. Dear god.
"Can I stop by later, after my game?" Mason asked me.
"Yes," I answered, quickly turning to hide the reoccurring blush on my face.
"Okay, I'll see you soon," He said, kissing my cheek softly before walking away and out the front door. Letting out a slow, deep breath, I relaxed against the couch again. Closing my eyes, I fell back asleep, cherishing the warmth his body left behind as well as his ever so masculine woodsy scent.
Not even 10 minutes into my sleep was I awoken by nudging and tapping. I opened my eyes and found AJ standing beside me dressed in his usual attire, black skinny jeans, black shirt, and Converse.
"Uh, what?" I asked him.
"You said we were going to the mall today?" He exclaimed.
"For someone who was so reluctant on going, you seem pretty cheerful," I muttered, standing up and walking towards the stairs.
"I actually wanted to buy a new game and you're my ride," He confessed.
"Oh please, you could've just stolen the car. Not like you haven't before," I teased him.
"I tried, but I have no idea how to get anywhere. We live in butt crack Africa," AJ replied. I busted into laughter at his semi-joke. He was so right. Our closest neighbors were more than a mile away, and it was debatable if the house was even being utilized.
"Well, eat something, I'm going to get ready," I replied, coughing a little. Other than that, my chest didn't burn anymore, my limbs weren't sore, and my nose was no longer stuffed. Nyquil was a damn miracle worker.
As I passed Scar's door to go to my room, I knocked loudly and yelled for her to get ready. I didn't want to physically wake her up since that would end badly for me indefinitely. Thankfully, by the time I was dressed Scar was waiting down stairs in the kitchen, ready to go.
"You do know it's almost 80 degrees outside?" Scar asked when she noticed my attire: dark skinny jeans, brown combat boots, a long sleeved white shirt, and a brown leather jacket.
"I'll be fine. The mall has air conditioning, and I can always take my jacket off," I responded, grabbing and apple from the fruit basket.
"You guys ready?" I asked, grabbing the keys and heading towards the front door.
