"Lindsey, this is Lucy and her brother AJ," Laura finally introduced us to Mason's girlfriend.

"Oh my god, I heard so much about you. Mason talks about you all the time. Well, not really. He more like thinks about you all the time," Lindsey said excitingly, suddenly pulling me into a hug.

What the hell type of reaction? If my boyfriend was thinking about another girl all the time, I would be doing something a little more aggressive than hugging her.

"How do you know that?" I asked skeptically.

"I just do. Sisterly instinct I guess," Lindsey replied. "You're so gorgeous. I had no idea how pretty you were," Lindsey continued to gush, touching my arm lightly. Playing with the ripped strings of my shorts, my mind replayed "sisterly" over and over. Lindsey was his sister, not his girlfriend. I could see the resemblance now, well not really; and I guess I could see where I could've gotten confused. Lindsey was obviously a touchy-feely person, considering the fact that she had her arms wrapped around me, a complete stranger, as if we'd been best friends since diaper days.

Thankfully, it was our turn to order and I got 3 hot dogs and 3 cokes for me, AJ, and Scar. When we all finished ordering we went back up as the game restarted. This time Lindsey and her friends joined us. There was enough room for four more people surprisingly and luckily for me Lindsey decided to sit next to me. Note the sarcasm. It's not that I didn't like her; it was just kind of hard going from secretly hating her to not secretly hating her.

"I know you thought I was his girlfriend," Lindsey suddenly whispered beside me. Dear god, this girl knew things that no one should have a right to know. I pretended to feign ignorance as if I hadn't heard her and continued to watch the game which was 6-4 now.

"I saw you at the mall yesterday. The look on your face was so obvious. I wanted to go to you but you ran off before I could. Mason thinks you're mad. But now you know I'm his sister, everything is going to be okay. Right?" She exclaimed.

I frowned in both annoyance and confusion. Why was she telling me this? What did she care if Mason and I worked things out?

"Mason is special. He doesn't associate with other people or open up to them but you're different. I can tell because he spends his every waking hours zoned out with a glazed, puppy love look on his face. And it can only be because you," Lindsey answered my question as if I had said it aloud.

"I don't really know Mason that well and I don't really know what you're asking," I told her.

"I'm asking if you could give my brother a chance, another one I guess since you were most likely going to cut him off permanently," Lindsey responded.

"I don't know," I said awkwardly.

She smiled softly before turning back to the game. I sighed in relief. That was a weird conversation. She was very intense for such a small girl. She was also very nosey and wasn't afraid to get personal. I didn't know how I felt or what to think about her. I'll say one thing though, she was more observant than I cared for.

Thankfully when the game was over with a loss of 7-4, I was able to scurry away from her and her rather uncomfortable comments.

"Ready?" I asked Scar as we descended the bleachers with the rest of the hyped crowd.

"Wait, don't go. We're having a victory party at the house," Laura said before Scar could reply.

"We can't," I said immediately.

"Why not?" Laura asked disappointed.

"I'm still not feeling well from my flu. Plus, AJ needs to get home. I don't want him at a party with drugs and alcohol and bad influences," I explained, happy that I had a legitimate excuse besides that first one.
