(WARNING: MATURE CONENT AHEAD)

I remember there was a time in my life where I wanted things to happen. I grew up in a small town where people actually looked forward to bowling every Friday night. I wanted something exciting to happen. Especially after my parents death, life just slowed down until one day I couldn't take it anymore. That's when I decided to move here, and honestly, I couldn't decide whether it was the best or worst decision of my life. But considering how things were turning out right now, I think I'd say the worst.

"You're brother is a werewolf," Scar repeated as if I hadn't heard her the first time. I very much wanted to snap at her and tell her I wasn't hearing impaired but my mind was only focused on processing the information. Or rather, not processing it.

"No," I whispered, "No, no, no," My voice grew louder, shaking my head in disbelief.

"Lucy, there's no other explanation," Laura offered.

"Your kind did this," I spat, turning my heated glare on her. She flinched back at my tone but manners were the least of my worries at that moment.

"There's only two things that can turn a werewolf: they either have to be bitten or it has to be genetic," Nick exclaimed.

"I know, you told me this already. But you're wrong. My brother isn't a werewolf, it's not in his blood," I responded.

"The scratch should've killed him, but he's isn't dead. Which means his wolf was triggered early in order to prevent the venom from spreading and killing him," Nate explained.

"Do know if maybe your parents said something to you about this?" Laura asked me cautiously.

"I think I would remember if the people I lived with for the better part of my life were supernatural creatures," I snapped at her. She immediately stopped asking me questions then.

"Lucy-" Scar started but I cut her off quickly.

"Stop calling my name. I am getting so tired of hearing it. Just go. Leave me alone," I cried out, my heart thudding loudly as my brothers painful moans echoed inside my head. I noticed they did exactly as I demanded which helped me relax only slightly since a billion questions and information weren't being thrown at me. I knew Mason was still with me. I couldn't see him but I could feel him in the room.

"Babe," I jumped suddenly when he spoke up. "Babe," he called again.

"What?" I asked,  turning to face him with a look of confusion on my face and irritation in my eyes.

"You said not to use your name... babe," He said cheekily.

I couldn't help but smile at his attempt to lighten my mood and that only worked for a moment before AJ's body began convulsing right beside me.

"What's happening?" I cried helplessly.

"He is turning. The sooner you accept it the better. He's accepted it, now you should too," Mason said, kneeling down beside me.

"How do you know he's accepted it?"I asked, unsure.

"If he hadn't accepted it, then his wolf would remain dormant and the venom would take over all major function organs. Eventually he would die. He's responded to the shift and is in transition. He has accepted it," Mason explained to me calmly. I sighed as he wrapped an arm around me and pulled my body to his. My head rested against his chest as I kept a sharp eye on AJ.

"In transition, his body has to break the essential bones, most of them, in order to shift and turn into the shape of a wolf. It usually takes a few hours," Mason explained to me.
