Failure

If my alarm hadn't been my phone, I would've more than likely chucked it at the wall. Groaning loudly, I pulled my covers over my head and slid farther down my bed. Unfortunately my moment of peace didn't last long because not even a minute later my alarm went off again. I sensed the shift in the lighting of my room which left me no choice but to wake up. Rolling out of bed unceremoniously, I headed to the bathroom to get ready.

"You're awfully quiet this morning," Scar pointed during breakfast.

"I am so tired. And I have a test in Psych today. Do to my numerous absents, I have no idea what's going to be on it," I explained before taking a large gulp of coffee. I gagged slightly as the bitter liquid slid down my throat. I didn't put sugar that way the caffeine would have a stronger affect.

"Isn't Laura in your class? Ask her," Scar suggested.

"I only just remembered this morning and it's too late now," I responded, finishing off my coffee.

"Well, maybe you should stop missing school," Scar told me cheekily.

"I'm not even going to entertain that notion," I grumbled.

"Can I drive?" Scar asked me.

"Have at it," I agreed, tossing the keys to her as we began to gather our belongings. AJ came downstairs wearing sweatpants and The Killers t-shirt. It was a rather odd and rare thing that he wasn't wearing skinny jeans. Even Scar had a bewildered look on her face as he passed us.

"Morning," He greeted us before heading out.

"You saw that right?" Scar asked me.

"Yes, and it can only mean one thing, hell hath frozen over," I gasped. Scar laughed loudly as we locked up the house and followed suit out. I opened the passenger door and slid into the car.

"You're driving?" AJ asked Scar in shock.

"Obviously," She responded, starting the engine.

"Damn it," AJ grumbled before laying back. Scar wasn't a bad driver, she was just damn near crazy. While I'm a safe fast driver, she's a reckless fast driver. By the time we'd dropped AJ off and were parked in front of the school I felt seriously nauseous.

"Thanks for.... that" I said to Scar as we began walking to the building. I'd tried bringing her inadequate driving skills to her attention but that didn't turn out too well. I just hoped quietly that she gets her license revoked one day so she'd finally realize that she's out of her damn mind. As I walked into Psych I saw Laura with her head in her notebook.

"Studying," I greeted her.

"Cramming," She corrected me as I sat down. I laughed, flicking my eyes over at the clock.

"What about you?" Laura asked me when she noticed I wasn't pulling anything out.

"No point, I've missed too many days to catch up," I replied grumpily.

"Look at my notes with me. You have time to learn some things. You never know, it might help," Laura told me, moving her notebook between us. We had less than five minutes before class began so together we skimmed through her notes on Frued, Maslow, Paiget, Skinner, and Wundt.

"Everybody put your cheatsheets away and pull out a pencil and your thinking caps," Mr. Krause boomed loudly.

"I am so going to fail," I muttered, leaning back into my chair.

"At least you have an excuse. I've never missed class yet I don't know half this shit," Laura exclaimed as she put her stuff away.

"I'm sure you'll do fine, or at least better than me," I told her.
