Chapter 20

Addison's POV

I arrive to my audition, for a mini series, it'll only consist of 6 episodes. Stefan has made it clear that he wants me to rest as much as possible, but he also respects that I love my job, just like he loves his job.

My phone buzzes from my pocket and it's a text from him wishing me luck as always, I text him back and head into the building.

"Good morning Addison, how are you today?" Carey asks as she greets me.

"I am very well, thank you, and yourself?" I ask.

"I'm great, and you look great, your baby bump is starting to pop out a little now, I can't wait to meet the little one" She says.

"Yeah, I realised last night that it's rather ideal for the series, seeing as the character I'm auditioning for is pregnant, can't beat a real pregnancy bump" I point out.

"That's a good point, and hopefully you'll get the part, although there are a few people wanting the part, but I'm sure you'll be fine, you're a talented actress" She compliments.

"Thanks, I couldn't be a good actress without my superb agent though" I smile.

"Bless ya, anyway, lets get to this audition" She says as she figures out where we're going, together we find where we need to be and we arrive in the waiting room just as somebody comes out looking happy with himself. We sit down with the others waiting to audition.

"What part are you here for?" A mid-aged man asks me.

"The part of Stella" I answer.

"Ahh, fair enough, got the pregnancy bump for her part too I see, when are you due?" He asks.

"February" I answer as I rub my little bump.

"Well, at least if you get the part, you'll finish filming before you're due" He smiles.

"That's one reason why I've agreed to audition for it, so, what part are you here for?" I ask.

"Stella's Dad, so if we both get the part, we'll be on-screen Father and Daughter" He says.

"Well, if today goes our way, it'll be fun to work with you I'm sure" I say. Just then someone with a clip-board comes into the room.

"George Foster please" He calls.

"That's me" He smiles as he gets up.

"Good luck" I nod, he nods back as a thanks and goes in.

"I think there are only 4 people after his part, but 12 people are after your part, including you, I'm pretty sure that by the glances people have been giving in this room, most of us here are for Stella" Carey says.

That boosts my confidence up a lot, not. I shift nervously in my seat as I wait as patiently as I can.

Around 10 minutes later, someone comes in and I recognise them, I'm not sure of their name but I've seen some of their work on TV before, she's a good actress from what I've watched of her. I think she's around my age so the likelihood of her being here for the same part as the rest of us is high.

A couple of hours later, I am finally called in for my audition.

"Hi, I'm Addison Colt and I'm auditioning for the role of Stella" I greet.
