4. Cullen Residence

[Third Person POV]

When the Cullens arrived at their home minus Alice and Jasper who still didn't arrive yet, they insisted on having their little family meeting concerning Edward's thirst and what he heard before he left from a certain someone.

Carlisle sits on the couch, while Rosalie was beside him on the other side thinking hard about Edward's situation. Emmett sits on the armrest where he is just near her. Esme stands on the other side near the windows staring at Edward with concerned looks like an Aunt.

"I need time out for awhile, her blood was too intoxicating for me" Edward standing in front of the room, the center of attention.

Carlisle nodded understandingly "We understand. Give yourself some slack and go back to school soon as possible" Edward nodded as well.

Then Esme speaks up back on topic about the other problem.

"Now, about the thought you mentioned in your biology class, are you sure it's from one of your classmates?" she asked

"I'm sure that it came from Olivia herself" he stated seriously like he was dead serious that he heard Olivia's thought for the first time. "She clearly mocked me internally on how I couldn't handle my thirst" He clarified.

Carlisle puts his hand together in a prayer form and touched his lips, thinking "This causes a spectacle"
he said sadly.

Emmett shakes his head "I doubt it will, no one even goes near or talk to her except the jocks"

Rosie agrees with her mate "After all, she lives alone and no one is really friends with her except Esme, and Charlie being kind to her"

Edward added "She even has this scent"

Everyone sparked up to him expectedly

"What scent?" Esme asked

"Human but something else I can't get a ring for. It's close to human but different"

"I smelt it too" Emmett agreed

"We'll figure it out someday" Carlisle assures them. This does cause a spectacle for them, everyone is already thinking of possible answers of Olivia: whether she's like them or something else.

The sound of the door opening and closing cuts all their tension in the room. Alice and Jasper had arrived.

"Hey guys" Alice cheery attitude lits them up a bit. Jasper following behind her making their way to the living room too.

"We came home late cause we gave Olivia a ride to her workplace" Alice said. All of their heads snapped to the duo with questioned looks

"Did you find anything?" Emmett blurts out

"She's the one Esme has been seeing with her deliveries. But between a werewolf or a vampire, I'm not so sure" Jasper replied blankly like the cold awkward vampire he is for now

Alice continued for him "She doesn't even have that mutt smell, nor her skin is like ours. She was almost too human. Her scent is great but her heartbeat is abnormally slow than an average human person"

Carlisle nodded taking all the details calm as ever "Just let us know if you see anything"

"That's the thing I never really see anything from her, except today. When we offered by giving her a ride home Olivia rejected but I saw a vision of her passing by a familiar path so we went to meet her there"

Everyone in that room found Olivia a strange one living in Forks. They'll just have see what happens next, Carlisle on the other hand had a strange feeling down in his stomach since the talk of Olivia, it's like his own body wanted to hear her name. It felt weird that he chose to ignore for now
