My Dream Last Night

Not exactly a vent but I just wanted to share a really weird dream I had last night where I was Shuichi.

I've had dreams where I'm Shuichi or Kokichi before so that idea isn't new, but what IS new is the dream itself.

{Even though I'm Shuichi in this dream I'm writing in first person}

I was 'criminal buddies' with someone, and we often did things like stealing and even murder if someone posed a threat to ratting us out. We were constantly on the run from the police and eventually we climbed the 'wanted' charts and became some of the most wanted people.

We still kept doing our crimes but our fatal mistake was one time we stayed too long at this scene so the police caught us and we went to jail.

The jail itself had the same layout of the mental facility I've been to twice except for the fact everything looked completely different. It was like the floor plan was the same but what the rooms were, what everything was made of, etc. was different. Instead of wood and carpet there was concrete and metal. It was really depressing and spooky, actually.

The prison guards suspected that we were hiding drugs in this shared cell and I had no idea what they were talking about. Someone made a bomb and by accident it exploded inside our shared cell, taking out a lot of the wall and floor. And wouldn't you know it, drugs that were previously hiddden were revealed.

The guards told us to get out because the drugs would be in the air and we'd inhale them, so we all got out. Someone was clearly having a lowkey mental breakdown and they were gonna be brought to a more secure area to be sure they didn't hide more drugs because it was obvious they were the culprit.

Because of the incident my crime partner and I were randomly allowed to leave the prison as free men and when we left there was a thing that allowed us to buy books for reduced prices. We didn't have a penny on us so my partner hacked into the thing and took a book even though he didn't care about books.

"They may have let us out but I'm not changin,'" he said as he got into the car that we'd done all our crimes in, and I got into the passenger seat like 'old times' because I didn't know what else to do but follow.

He started up the car and then I woke up.
