AAMs are freaking gross- like that's literally an adult. Someone who is 18 or older. You're literally attracted to someone that if for some sick reason you two dated you just made them a pedophile. Love you too, honey~! You're a pedophile now!

I'll be honest, I'm kind of an AAM. I'm not exclusively attracted to adults, but I am still attracted sometimes. Does it make it okay or acceptable? Hell no. Does it make it okay for me to ever express myself in that way? No. Like I said earlier that'd make the other person a pedophile, which basically shows you're selfish because you only care that you're happy and not about the other person's happiness or even legal safety. Plus, it also pretty much shows that you can't find anyone suitable at your age which points to some huge problems in your character if you can't find one person in your age group.

I understand the idea of wanting someone who's a hella lot more mature than you and also the desire of a partner who could basically "parent" you and a lot of other things, but there's plenty of mature, parent-like people in your age group if you're at the age where it should be okay for you to start dating people. If you can't find them right away, you're not looking hard enough! I know at least 5 people from my class off the top of my head who basically act like parents and are super mature, especially considering their age.

I understand feeling like garbage for liking adults and I understand the fact you can't really change how you feel {I also think the same is true for pedophiles}, but that gives you no excuse to act on those feelings. Just because you feel attracted doesn't mean it's okay. It's like when you get so mad you want to senselessly beat the person who made you mad; you could feel really passionate about wanting to beat the shit out of them, but it doesn't make it okay. I don't care if you try to call liking adults "love" either, you're really just fetishising an age group. A fetish isn't love, it's a fetish.
