It is early evening when Xinxin and I returned home and no one less than Wang Yibo is standing at our front door. I thought Xinxin would run to him immediately, but instead she crossed her arms in front of her chest, turned her head to the side and ran past him as if she didn't see him.

Yibo crouched down next to her and asked her if she was angry with him and she sparkled at him angrily. "Xinxin? Are you mad with Dad?"

"Mn." Was her answer.

"Xinxin, Dad is really very sorry."

"I'm not talking to you anymore."

"Please don't be mad at Dad. I love you so much and Dad's really sorry."

"No, no. I don't believe you."

" Please believe me."

"I said no!" Scolded she and then stared at me angrily. Until I realized that she was waiting for me to unlock the door and let she storm into the house.

As soon as the door was open, Xinxin ran and Yibo chased after her. It's not as if I'm still here and expect a personal apology from Yibo.

"Xinxin, please wait for Dad. I want to apologize."

"No!"

"Please my little one."

"Begging won't help you."

"ZhanZhan, can you help me?"

"Um, let's see. No." I say and sit down on the sofa to watch the show.

"Xinxin, can I explain to you why I wasn't there?"

Yibo looks at me with a questioning look. I shrug my shoulders and shake my head. Because I didn't tell this to Xinxin.

"Who told you?"

"I heard what my daddy said on the phone."

"Xinxin, I'm sorry. This was a farewell party."

"Pah, you forgot your Xinxin. You are very bad."

"Dad would never forget you."

"You lie. I do not want to talk to you anymore. Go tease Daddy."

"Being a dad means thinking about your Xinxin." She said, slamming her room door in front of Yibo.

Yibo sat down in front of the room door and knocked on her door. "Xinxin, please don't be mad at Dad anymore. I'll never do it again, I promise."

"You get on my nerves." She screams through the locked door.

Normally I would try to calm her down right now. But I think Yibo has to go through it himself and learn that he can't just dump a child and then get away with a simple apology.

While Yibo continues to sit outside of Xinxin's door and she continues to sulk in her room, I make dinner. I'm curious to see how he's going to make things right with Xinxin. I told him that when you have a child, you can't just grab it by the side when you don't feel like it anymore.
