YIBO'S POV

When the rest of the guests have finally arrived, the birthday party can finally begin. Xinxin is totally excited and jumps around with her friends. At least until Yuan arrived and told her to be careful not to fall down and hurt herself.

Somehow this reminds me of Zhan and me back then. Zhan was always so lively and couldn't stand still. That's why he often fell and hurt himself. At some point I got tired of seeing him with new bruises and abrasions. So I always told him to take it easy, not to jump around and to watch out that he did not hurt himself.

When everybody is sitting on their seats, soft music comes out of the speakers and I remember the song immediately. It was what Zhan, Chuyue and Wu Jiacheng sang during our evening at the karaoke club.

Xinxin gets a microphone in her hand and stands on her chair. She looks adorable as she stands there, beaming all over her face.

She sings the part with her daddy, Chuyue and Wu Jiacheng sing with them. And some of the other guests also get up and sing along. I think it's everyone who was in a group with Zhan.

When the song ended, Xinxin stood on the chair and said, "Today is my fourth birthday. And I have a big wish. My daddy and everyone else already knows him. Except my dad. But I want to tell you now, Dad. Your Xinxin loves you dearly and wishes that you and Daddy get married today. So you will grant my wish and marry my daddy today?"

"What did you say?" I ask her in shock.

Zhan takes the microphone in his hand and says, "Our daughter told me that she has only one big wish. And it comes from her heart. She wishes that you and I get married today! Wooseok and I, have been planning everything over three weeks. Everything is ready. That's why everyone is here. That's why everyone is wearing suits and dresses today. That's why the ice rink is decorated. All you have to do is say yes or no.

"Are you crazy? As if I'd say no. Of course I want to marry you today ZhanZhan. I've longed for this day, you know I have."

Xinxin crawls from her chair and slithers towards me, she throws her arms around me and presses me very firmly. "Dad, today you officially become my dad."

Everyone applauds and cheers. Then Chuyue gets up and explains that we'll start right away. Zhan and I are brought to the middle of the U-shape of the table. Xinxin stands with us. Seo Joon stands next to Zhan and is his best man and with me at my side is my brother.

Chuyue says he has registered online and is allowed to officially marry Zhan and me.

When Chuyue asks if anyone is against the marriage, I give Seo Joon a sinister look and he shakes his head laughing.

A speech from the internet starts the marriage ceremony. (I'll shorten this one, everyone should know what is said at a wedding ceremony. Writing about weddings is not my thing. So forgive me for not going into detail here.)

After we both said yes, Zhan looks at me with a smile. "Mark Twain once said; To experience the full value of happiness, we need someone to share it with. And I found that someone in you, Yibo. I'm glad we got a second chance. No matter what lies ahead, from now on we will master them together. Twenty years ago we met and became best friends. For thirteen years we have experienced everything together. Side by side we faced the challenges of growing up and fell in love with each other. But before we could finally enjoy our love for each other, we had to face challenges that life presented for us. But now these challenges are finally over and we can finally be together and share our love for each other. Yibo I love you and I look forward to sharing the rest of my life with you."

After our speeches we exchanged our rings. Which Zhan chose with Xinxin. "I hereby declare you both husband and husband. You can kiss now." Chuyue said, but I already had Zhan in my arms and kissed him.

"Uh, the wedding isn't everything. Xinxin and I have something special for you, Yibo." Says Zhan.

"And what?"

Xinxin hands me a document. An official and certified statement that I am now Xinxin's dad. "Xinxin and I have prepared this. And as soon as all the papers concerning our marriage are ready, we would like, if you would officially adopt Xinxin." Explains my husband, my ZhanZhan.

Speechless, I put the document aside and take my two most important people in my life into my arms. At this moment I am the happiest person on the planet and I can't imagine anything more beautiful than being married to the man I love so much and raising our daughter with him.

After the ceremony we all ate and then the tables were cleared away. We all changed our clothes one by one. And with loud music from the loudspeakers, Zhan, Xinxin and I skated over the ice together.

Until it was time for the cakes. Xinxin blew out her candles on her cake and Zhan and I, cut our wedding cake. They set up two extra tables for that.

A picture of Emma is on the table at Xinxin's birthday cake. I look at it and smile, "Thank you, Emma." I whisper and Zhan strokes my back. I'm grateful that Emma came into Zhan's life for a while, even if it wasn't long. But thanks to her, Zhan and I are now a happy family with Xinxin.
