YIBO'S POV

Today is Xinxin's birthday and because she is so excited and looking forward to it, she woke Zhan and me at half past five in the morning. If only we hadn't stayed awake until two o'clock in the night, it wouldn't be so difficult to keep our eyes open now. But I bet Xinxin will keep us awake.

Even though I haven't been her dad for long, it feels like an eternity and I enjoy every day with her. I hope I will have many more wonderful years with her before she spreads her wings and leaves the nest.

It is amazing how fast she grows. And it frightens me when I think that it continues at this tempo. I can understand now why my ZhanZhan says that the time with her just flies by.

After Xinxin woke up also our guests, because it is not allowed that anyone is still sleeping while the birthday child is already awake, we first had breakfast.

And again my ZhanZhan and Wooseok have their heads together. I really wonder what they've been doing for the past three weeks. They're always together or sitting in a corner somewhere whispering. Should I be worried?

Are they approaching each other in a way that I won't like at all? Or why else do they stick together like this? Wooseok should rather take care of his boyfriend than spend time with my fiancé all the time.

"ZhanZhan, can you at least stop whispering at breakfast?"

"Yibo, what's wrong? I just asked him a question and he gave me an answer And we didn't want to disturb anyone, so we just whispered."

"But I mind ZhanZhan. Why don't you whisper with me?"

"Uh, ha ha. That was a question for Wooseok. I promise, if I think of one for you, I'll whisper it to you."

"Looks like someone's jealous." Says Seungyoun and smiles at me.

"So what? Doesn't it bother you that they spend so much time together and don't even notice us anymore?"

"Um, what am I supposed to say to that now?" Seungyoun asks me and I can only shake my head. Does he really not care that his boyfriend only has eyes for my fiancé?

Xinxin comes to me and sits on my lap. She strokes my cheek and tells me, "Dad, don't worry. Everything's gonna be fine." Isn't she just cute?

After breakfast I dragged my tired body upstairs and went to the bathroom. Zhan followed me. And when we were in the bathroom, he hugged me and gave me a kiss. "You know I love you. You don't need to be jealous. I only want you." He explains and kisses me again.

We showered together, a little longer than planned and then got dressed. "Um, ZhanZhan, why do we have to wear suits at the ice rink? We're celebrating a kid's birthday and not in a fancy restaurant."

"We can always change later. But since so many people are coming, our family, friends and even my boss, we should at least welcome them properly dressed for now."

"Okay, but I don't think suits are really appropriate in an ice rink."

"Everyone else is wearing suits today, so don't be like that and put your suit on. We'll take change clothes in a bag, then we can change later."

"We could just as well put on the other clothes and save ourselves the trouble of changing." I'm mumbling to myself as I put on my suit.

"What did you say?"

"Uh, nothing dear. See, I'm putting on my suit."

Going to the ice rink in a suit and greeting the guests for our daughter like high state officials. That is so over the top.

And while I'm still bitching in my mind even after getting dressed, I see my Xinxin and she's wearing a dress that makes her look like a princess. Her hair has been plaited by Wooseok and in the plaited braids are little clips with white flowers.

Did I miss anything? Didn't the girl want to go to the ice rink? Then why does she look like she's going to a ball? All what's missing are high-heeled shoes. She's cute as candy, but, man, she's not really dressed for an ice rink.

But our four guests are dressed up, too. All in suits. Do they all want to change at the ice rink? I feel kind of fooled. What the hell kind of kid's birthday party is this? A real princess and her retinue?

The doorbell rang around 8:30 in the morning. I go and open it and can only do one thing: "ZhanZhan, why is Seo Joon here?" I scream and my fiancé grins at me and says that Xinxin invited him.

It' clear, isn't it? My fiancé's ex, who is a well-known star in South Korea, is coming to our daughter's child's birthday party. And he's wearing a suit too, of course!

And before I could say anything else, Xinxin greets her Uncle Joon, as she calls him.

Little by little more and more guests arrived and the house slowly filled up. My brother and Yanli also just arrived with their son. Together with the parents of Zhan. Luckily we meet everyone else at the ice rink.

All of us, dressed in suits and dresses, went outside to our cars and drove to the ice rink with the Royal Majesty Xiao Xinxin. Her tiara fits perfectly and the bouquet of flowers in her hand completes everything. Does she want to marry her Yuan again today?

The column of rental cars is on its way to the ice rink. Only Zhan and I are driving our own car. And in the back seat our future queen sits with her uncle Joon and learns various Korean words.

It took a little over half an hour to drive to the ice rink. Fortunately we rented it for today and so the parking space is free. Well, until all the other guests have arrived, too. Which makes me think, considering the number of strange faces, that my future husband, knows almost every Chinese person in California.

I was really looking forward to skating a round on the ice until I saw the ice field. Uh, yeah, what can I say. There are tables set up in a U-shape on the ice. Everything is festively decorated and once again I wonder if I missed anything?

And before I can ask my fiancé what's going on here, I see him and Wooseok standing in a corner talking with Seo Joon. Are they serious? Not even here can they stop being secretive?

I admit, I'm jealous of Wooseok. And I'll be glad when he and Seungyoun fly home again and I have the attention of my ZhanZhan all to myself again.
