In the early hours of the morning we were still talking together, Rebekah left a few hours ago and Klaus along with Kol decided they were Hungry. They called in four compelled waitresses that served during the Ball and indulged in their meal.
I could feel the hunger bubbling up on the surface, dark veins became prominent u see my eyes. "Go on Ally, have at it" Klaus encouraged, gesturing towards one of the waitresses.
"Niklaus" Elijah warned him, at the moment the hunger took over and I pounced, Elijah was quick enough to catch me My the waist midair and pin me to the couch we were sitting on. "Alexandra" he said calmly but I had my gaze trained on the waitress behind him and I bared my teeth, he moved him head to cover her from my view and stared me in the eyes ensuring he has my attention "I want you to go upstairs and walk into the third room on the right, wait for me there." He ordered leaving no room for any disobedience.
I nodded slowly and stopped struggling, I needed to do this, just walk away, easy. He loosened his grip and it was as if my inner vampire took over, making me go for the girl again but Elijah was so much faster, it must come with the age, he pulled me back again and swung me in the direction of the stairs, I hit off the wall beside them and crouched ready to attack again.
"Alexandra!" Elijah raised his voice "Upstairs" he ordered, "Now" he added when he saw I didn't move an inch.
I vampire sped up the stairs and into the room he mentioned. Why couldn't I control myself, it can't be that hard, I mean so many vampires have mastered it, maybe I'm not made for this life. I sighed as I sat down on the end on the bed in the room. Elijah walked in only moment later with one of the waitresses. "Time for another lesson" he announced.
I nodded quietly, I was ready this time, motivated to do this. He sent me an encouraging smile and waved me over, standing up I doubted myself with each step I took closer to the girl, I could see the smallest movement on the skin of her neck where blood was being pumped. Elijah stood in front of her, covering my view again. "Wait until you're comfortable at this distance" he instructed
Waiting a while, I breathed in through my nose, smelling the scent of her blood but also Elijah's cologne and natural scent of sandalwood. I took a step closer, Elijah moved out of the way but stayed close. I looked up at the girl, her eyes meeting mine, this made me stop for a minute, this girl was trusting me with her life, her life depended on my control, she didn't have a choice because of the compulsion, I had a choice to be in control I just had to be strong enough to take it.
"Go closer but hold ur breath" Elijah instructed from beside me, I forgot he was even here.
Taking another step I placed my had on her shoulder and moved my mouth closer to her neck, holding my breath as I waited. I could feel the heat radiating from her skin, i couldn't do it, it was too tempting, I breathed in, the scent of her sweet blood filled my nostrils, at that very moment when I was about to sink my teeth into her I felt Elijahs hands on my hips, he was behind me. "Be aware of the rest of your surroundings Alexandra, the key is not to get lost in the blood lust" he whispered into my ear and I shivered a little.
I tried to focus on the tingling feeling of his hands, slowly he trailed small circles on my hipbones with his thumbs. I finally let myself sink my teeth into her neck, the warm blood was like heaven, I moaned a little and my whole mindset changed, I didn't want to stop anymore. As I drank I forgot about everything else, I forgot I wanted to learn control, that I didn't want to kill, it just felt so right. I felt the zip on the back on my dress be pulled down, I turned around in alarm, instantly pushing my attacker away with all my strength, I vaguely registered his form landing on the bed. Not wasting another second before I went back to my meal, the head once again detaching from the body.
