Zeke's POV

I sit on the ground with everyone else, groaning. I feel like my guts are in my head and my insides are liquid.

Christina runs into the bathroom for the third time.

Either she had too much or she doesn't handle her alcohol well, or both.

Four comes a few minutes after Christina gets back.

"You guys are ridiculous. What if walkers came in here, would you dance with them?"

I laugh and wince bringing my hands to my head.

I sit up and groan, black spots clouding my vision.

"I need pain killers," I moan.

Four takes something out of his pocket and shows me a pill bottle.

I stand up and fall back on the ground.

"Would you give it to me if I cried?" I ask.

He nods, smirking.

I crawl over to his legs and grab them, "PLLLLLLEEEEEEAAAASSSSEEEEE FOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUR."

He throws the bottle in the other direction and I let go of his legs and slam my head against the floor.

Shauna gets up and drops two pills at my feet before eating her own.

We lay there for a few minutes later before Tris and Four go upstairs and Christina stays on the floor, sleeping.

Shauna grabs my hand and pulls me up. I follow her to our room.

She sits on the bed.

"Do you think we'll ever escape this mess?"

"I mean maybe, I'm sure if scientists made the disease they can destroy it."

"That sounds right, I just don't think it'll happen in our life time."

She shrugs, "I don't know."

I sit next to her grab her hand, "is it really worth living, what's the purpose."

"Us is the purpose, our lives, the chance of getting out of here."

"I love you," I say looking at her eyes.

"I love you too,"

"I hate this apocalypse,"

"Me too,"

I kiss the corner of her lips.

She leans her head on my chest and I kiss her forehead.

We fall into a deep, dreamful sleep.

Tris's POV

"I haven't apologized yet," Four says once I get in our room.

"Yeah you haven't," I sit on the bed and throw my head back on the pillow.

He lays next to me pulling his sheets over him.

"I'm sorry, I really feel horrible."

I nod my head, "well...you did the one thing that you said scared you most, so that should all be the torture you have right now."

"..."

"That was mean I'm sorry,
"I've forgiven you, yes, but I also don't know what was going through your head."

"Me either, it won't happen again, I'll be really carful."

I sigh, "we have only five people left."

"Yeah."

"I feel like that number is going to decrease."

"...don't talk like that."

"But that's what I feel."

"..."

"It's awful, this place is awful I hate it the only thing I like about it is you. The only thing keeping me alive is the thought of the end...and I don't know if I'll make it," my voice cracks.

He pulls me into a strong hug.

"I'm sorry," I sob.

"It's okay we all need to break down, but your so strong Tris," he strokes my hair, "you'll make it. I promise. If I have something to do with it you'll live. It's okay."

I stop crying and I lace my hand with his.

He wipes my layer of tears with his thumb.

He kisses my forehead, "sweet dreams Tris."

He sets me over on pillow again and his eyes are the last things I see.
