Chapter 7: I Find Out The Truth

When I woke up the next day the same blonde girl from the night before over me, starring straight at me.

We both jumped. Then started to laugh. "I'm Karlee Gray! Who are you?" I said after we both calmed down.

"I'm Annabeth Chase, Daughter of Athena. Nice to meet you Karlee!" said Annabeth sticking out her hand for me to shake.

I shook her hand and said "Nice to meet you too Annabeth! Where's Percy?"

"Oh. He's out on the porch with Mr. D and Chiron," said Annabeth pointing to the door.

"Thanks!" I said, "See you later, Annabeth!"

"See you later!" she replied.

I walked out on the porch to find Percy sitting at a table with Grover, a man who I'm guessing is Mr. D, and...Mr. Brunner?

"Mr. Brunner?!" I asked.

"Hello Karlee." said Mr. Brunner turning around "But you should know, my real name is Chiron. Please sit. We were just about to explain this whole thing with the camp and the monster you faced last night."

I sat down and Mr-Chiron started to explain. "Well, you remember the myths about the Greek gods from my lessons?" He asked as I and Percy nodded "Well they're real. And you two are demigods. One of your parents-in both of your cases-your father is a Greek god."

"Woah" was all I said.

"This camp is full of children just like you two. These kids are all demigods. Do you have any questions?" me and Percy shook our heads so he continued, "Since the two of you don't know who your godly parents are yet you will be staying in the Hermes cabin. Annabeth make sure Luke makes room in the cabin."

Annabeth nodded and started to walk toward the cabins that were arranged in the shape of a Greek omega. A few seconds later Chiron started to explain 'Western civilization' and I tried to pay attention, I did but this place had a lot of ways to distract an ADHD demigod. I looked over to the rock wall and after a few seconds, I saw an orange liquid coming out of it! It was lava! After I got over the shock of seeing kids climbing a flaming rock wall I looked over towards the Archery range. That looked like so much fun! I wanted to try that.

The only thing that got me to pay attention was when Chiron stood up from his wheelchair. He stood up but his legs didn't move. He was at face level with me and Percy but he continued to rise. He stepped out of the wheelchair and had the body of the of a centaur!

"Wow," said Percy and I in unison.

"OK, I'll give you the tour now!" He said as we started to walk down towards the Archery range.

After the tour was over I was in love with Camp Half-Blood! It was officially my favorite place in the world. When Chiron showed us the Hermes I loved it! I wished that this cabin could be mine! But as soon as I walked in I had a feeling that Hermes wasn't my dad.

"Hermes cabin meets Percy Jackson and Karlee Gray," said Chiron practically shoving Percy through the door.

"Regular or undetermined?" asked one of the boys.

"Undetermined," said Chiron.

All of the campers groaned but a few seconds later a tall, good looking guy said, "Now campers! We have to make the newbies feel comfortable. It's our job. Nice to meet you, Percy and Karlee. I'm Luke. Welcome to the Hermes cabin! You two can put your stuff there." He pointed to two blankets on the floor. I put my stuff down-meaning my rain jacket-where Luke showed me, winked at two boys who looked like they were trouble, like me, and went out with Percy to the porch.
